Quiet, clean and central. Help yourself breakfast in the morning allows for flexibility in your schedule. Highly recommend because it is central. Need to think about where you will park. Public parking close and reasonable.

I had a wonderful experience at the Downtown Home Inn. James, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was impressive (I stayed in the Apartment Suite). The location was perfect, close to the subway line but away from the bustle of Yonge Street. I will definitely return to this inn in the future.

We had only one night to spend in Toronto but we would have liked to stay much longer in our basement appartment in this B&B. It is a great place, spacious, clean and everything you need. It is in a nice neighbourhood too - made me appreciate Toronto much more than on a previous visit. Great value for money (especially... More

What I especially like about your Home is how easy everything is, from arrival, to do-it-yourself breakfast, to parking suggestions, all right there when needed. And thank you for your gracious room switching at the last minute. After a long conference day it is nice to be somewhere "homey".

I spent 3 nights here last week in mid-October. The B&B is very cozy and comfortable, truly made me feel like staying at someone's home in the heart of Toronto city. Location is excellent, right in the midst of the quaint yet trendy Wellesley-Church Village, and it's only two short blocks away from the busy Yonge Street and Wellesley Street... More

Thank you for the great review. I have looked into the eaves troff to see if it was clogged, it was not. I guess the amount of rain we received may have caused it to overflow. I am sorry about the rain dripping in the night and I hope to accommodate you again. Thank you, James More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
