This hotel is high on luxury, style and comfort! The customer service is top-notch--front desk and bellmen greet you with open doors as you come and go, and the concierge is happy to meet any need you may have. The banquet/event staff also went above and beyond, working extra hours to ensure my meeting was set up in the most...

I definitely recommend this property! Service was superb and the room was beautiful! We added the romance package to our reservation and it was a great value... Breakfast served in room, champagne, flowers and chocolate covered strawberries!

The Soho is our go to spot when visiting Toronto. While the facilities are what you'd expect from a quality establishment it's the staff and service that set it apart. We are always treated as special guests.

I'd call this hotel a hidden gem in Toronto. The room, bed and washroom rivalled some of the luxury hotels I have stayed at, but costs three times less. The location is superb so that you can get to the entertainment district or sport complex in no time. Parking is easy. Would stay at again!

had a mother and daughter night out and 1 night stay. Was very enjoyable, although it was mothers' day this was not anyhow honoured or acknowledged. Would have made the stay even more memorable to us, we will best remember the restaurant now, which was excellent and the comfy beds.

Avoid breakfast and BYOB but otherwise rooms are awesome. Clean. Quiet and comfortable. Didn't try the main restaurant/bar but it appears to have a good atmosphere and interesting menu selections. Probably a better choice than the larger more generic hotels in and quieter than the smaller trendy ones

Spent a weekend with my wife. The room is average in size but changing/storage area was very large. Bathroom with large soaker tub with separate shower stall allowed us both the get cleaned up at the same time. The controls of the light switches was really neat. When returning to our room at night there was a bottle of water on...

The reviews that I read about the SoHo Metropolitan were accurate. It was a very nice hotel, the staff was very friendly, the rooms lovely, the heated bathroom floor, a nice touch, and the hotel is conveniently located. What Conde Nast didn't mention was that if you should need to stay here over a weekend, ask for a room that...

The rooms are quite spacious; more than I would have expected. Very clean and very inviting. I especially appreciated the heated floors in the bathroom, the ample closet space and drawers to put things in. Simply well put together. The concierge service was also very proactive: they knew what to do. For example: when calling in to confirm parking details,...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
