We had a nice stay at the Soho metropolitan. The room was very nice. The highlight was definitely the bathroom quite a luxury. But the supposed to be heathen bathroom floor did not work. We ordered room service. We had the cheese platter, which was very delicious. Breakfast was not included and we took it elsewhere. The Check Out process...

Our last stay at the SoHo Met was just over a year ago, and all the positives I mentioned in my TA review of that visit still apply. Our room seemed just as brand-new as last year ... housekeeping must have magic wands to get the glass shower enclosure that spotless! I considered our rate of $240/night for a luxury...

Rooms are wonderful no matter what you choose! Bathrooms are wonderful with heated floors and a proper large walk in shower! The bar is great a little expensive but you don't mind paying a little more for great service and fantastic music! Breakfast is luxurious too, it is not a quick breakfast and go it is more slower paced, which...

My wife and I were in Toronto for my brother's wedding. We wanted to stay in the "heart" of Toronto and decided to stay downtown. I used a few different sites to see what people had to say about SoHo Metro and the reviews were overall positive. Once you walk into the lobby, it has a very upscale feel to...

Stayed for three nights and glad to see it's still great. We stay here every time we go to Toronto for business and for pleasure. Great rooms with very spacious, clean, and beautiful bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Fast room service. A great, hip bar with great snacks and service. And a lovely cafe. Looking forward to our next stay.

I've always wanted to stay at the Soho Metropolitan, but usually stay at the Fairmont Royal York. Finally I got the chance and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are great and comfortable with wonderful bathrooms that have heated floors. The beds are comfortable and the place feels safe and secure. The staff are friendly and...

I was here 3 nights and it was lovely. I choose this hotel based on the tripod visor comments and have no regrets on the choice. The bed is very comfy, the rooms big and bathroom the dozen of the room! Loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed walking and this is not central in the city...

Just spent 2 weeks in Toronto and stayed at the SoHo Met. Wonderful experience all around. Nice room with full kitchen, German appliances. Nicely appointed with only minor hints that the place is not brand new. Room service was prompt and the food excellent. Prices are on the high side, but the quality more than made up for the small...

From the cool cafe, to the cool rooms - everything in this hotel is 5 star, without a doubt. Having stayed before many years ago - we recently booked in again and things have only got better. The staff are well trained and most obliging, the rooms are what can only be described as total luxury. Food is delicious and...

I felt like I was under dressed just to check in. We had a great time in toronto and would stay at the soHo again. The staff was very nice and the room was excellent. The bathroom was so nice and relaxing. The food was ok. It could have been better for the price. I would stay again.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
