We stayed at the SoHo for 2 nights early May. We were only visiting to go and see Niagara Falls. This hotel was perfect for the purpose of our stay. A good location with many restaurants only a block away. The room and amenities were excellent value for the the price we paid. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I...

This hotel is in a kind of nowheresville near the BlueJays stadium, the thing that looks like a boil next to the CNN lance. A grey concrete needle is Toronto's most famous offering. The hotel looks out on a dirt carpark and at the back is a major construction site that begins 7am. I changed room 3 times in hope...

Good sized rooms in their suites and great bathrooms make this modern, downtown hotel worth staying at. It's not a great location, but not the worst either. The in-hotel restaurant Sen5es is OK - nothing special but not overly costly.

Stayed at this hotel for a little over a week in July 2012 and really liked it. The location can be a little bit out of the way, depending on what you are looking for. It's only a 5 minute walk to the Rogers Centre (Skydome) and CN Tower, so if you're looking for a hotel close to these attractions...

Had a fantastic time! Housekeeping, front-desk, concierge, everyone made us feel so welcomed and went above and BEYOND the call of duty. Unpretentious, friendly and treated us average girls like royalty. Such a pleasure. Good job all around!

We had a nice stay at the Soho metropolitan. The room was very nice. The highlight was definitely the bathroom quite a luxury. But the supposed to be heathen bathroom floor did not work. We ordered room service. We had the cheese platter, which was very delicious. Breakfast was not included and we took it elsewhere. The Check Out process...

Our last stay at the SoHo Met was just over a year ago, and all the positives I mentioned in my TA review of that visit still apply. Our room seemed just as brand-new as last year ... housekeeping must have magic wands to get the glass shower enclosure that spotless! I considered our rate of $240/night for a luxury...

Rooms are wonderful no matter what you choose! Bathrooms are wonderful with heated floors and a proper large walk in shower! The bar is great a little expensive but you don't mind paying a little more for great service and fantastic music! Breakfast is luxurious too, it is not a quick breakfast and go it is more slower paced, which...

My wife and I were in Toronto for my brother's wedding. We wanted to stay in the "heart" of Toronto and decided to stay downtown. I used a few different sites to see what people had to say about SoHo Metro and the reviews were overall positive. Once you walk into the lobby, it has a very upscale feel to...

Stayed for three nights and glad to see it's still great. We stay here every time we go to Toronto for business and for pleasure. Great rooms with very spacious, clean, and beautiful bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Fast room service. A great, hip bar with great snacks and service. And a lovely cafe. Looking forward to our next stay.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
