Great stay for a night just across a parking lot from TIFF. Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent varied included breakfast. The area is hopping with a lively bar scene and even though they offered ear plugs we didn't hear anything at night. The room and comfy bed with all the extras were perfect. A great place to stay...

I stayed at this hotel in June for a business trip. The hotel is very conveniently located and in a remarkably quiet corner in Toronto. Breakfast is included in the rate and they include some nice local offerings, which is very nice. The room was very big and very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. I will definitely stay...

Spent a evening here recently with my wife. Great location. Walking distance to restaurants, King Street, Queen Street and the Rogers Centre (Blue Jays). Boutique Hotel, which means smaller , quieter than the big chains. We were welcomed very kindly by the bellman/ valet. Easy check in. We had chosen a basic room which was very nice, and still a...

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel and we have nothing bad to say. Room was lovely, bed big and comfortable; pillows big and squishy. Moulton Brown products in the room - gorgeous; and the breakfasts are to die for. All staff everywhere, from the porter to the restaurant staff have been very polite and helpful. Would not hesitate to...

In my experience, very few hotels get everything right. This one does. It is amazing how every little thing is right, from decorations to comfortable couches, to fit and finish around walls, ceilings, the way room is designed, little soaps, shampoos, coffee machines, everything is great. Fantastic location, staff is excellent and very helpful, beds are superbly comfortable. Tasty breakfast....

This is a wonderful hotel -- swank without being stuffy, modern yet warm, and with all the essential amenities. It's actually in kind of a weird location, on a little backstreet, yet it's in the middle of everything. King Street -- with its theaters and restaurant row (and its streetcars) -- is a block away. Pubs, too. Rogers Centre and...

We could not have asked for more gracious and eager staff. Every one of our needs seemed to be anticipated by a staff member! Wonderful breakfast served with our rate. (again, amazing staff) Rooms, clean, rather large and well furnished! I never got our maids name, wish I had. But she was the cutest, sweetest thing! We tipped her generously...

Having been to Toronto numerous times, and my husband lived there as a kid, the city is quite familiar to us, but this wonderful hotel tucked up on a quiet, one-block-long street was a very pleasant surprise that put us close to the CN Tower, the Roger's Center, the fabulous Ripley's Aquarium, and great restaurants nearby, especially on King Street....

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
