To start its a paper thin room within a hallway upstairs. No working toilets and filthy showers. There is only 1 exit and you have ZERO privacy. Can't forget to mention that part of the floor is sinking in and unsafe. Don't walk past the couches on the 2nd floor. You do not have a bathroom. You can use a...

Scary neighbourhood and poor management. Photos make the place look decent, but OMG, the reality is something else. Uneven floors, warehouse style. Hallways freaked me out. Rooms grubby and pretty dates. Wish I could say something nice but it is difficult.

WORST HOTEL EVER THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. This hotel feels extremely unsafe. Terrible neighborhood, bars on the windows. I got to the hotel and checked in around 10 pm because my flight was canceled. I found out the door was locked and I had to bang on the door. The night manager or possibly owner said...

This place is disgusting. Additional $25/day for cleaning, $15/day for tv. The rooms are smelly, the air conditioners are loud, furniture is stained, the lobby looks like a crappy janitor's closet, they couldn't print a receipt for me, it took forever for them to email it after I asked. If you book with expedia you'll be charged in American dollars...

The place is a hostel, not a hotel, and it was too pricey for a hostel. A better rating would be in order if the hostel was accurately advertised and appropriately priced. I was traveling for business, but under the circumstances it was the only option for staying in downtown Toronto on short notice. The employees were nice. My big...

Old, decrepit and generally just bad. The price was too high for such a bad place but everything else was booked and i had to go for business. Tenting would have have been a step up. Who charges $15 a day for TV on an old CRT type TV on top of $137 a night?

we had a last minute trip to Toronto and it was a busy weekend so most places were packed, this was the last one on booking.com. It was so awful. We said we could deal with a shared bathroom, but this one had too few for the number of rooms on the floor, there was a queue outside. The bathroom,...

Horrible room that possibly you would find in a conflict ravaged country. Reception room is most untidy and man sitting behind tries his best to act professional. My son fell sick after staying one night. Suffered claustrophobia. Paid $177 for one night and felt badly cheated. Booked last time through this site

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
