First off, the staff was great. We were graded to a king suite which was lovely. That said, for the cost of the room, I expect more than 2 towels for a family of 4, bed made with new sheets in the pullout, working door handles, clean shower fixtures, and overall more care to detail. While the staff were friendly,...

I've stayed at the sister hotel - The Cosmopolitan before. The location was a further walk than where I normally stay, coupled with some polar vortex weather made it more fun. After checking in, I noticed the bathroom was in need of an update and modernizing. The laminate flooring had interesting spacial gaps between pieces in a few places. It...

The location is within walking distance to Toronto's main downtown sites and the hotel itself is part of a larger condo complex. My room looked like it was originally intended to be a studio apartment because the bedroom included a stove and full fridge without any separation from the bedroom. And there was also an old non-functional console that looked...

This hotel was a living hell for a disabled guest! They would not provide use of the handicapped parking spaces to a permit holder as they only use those for oversized vehicles. The valet was extremely rude about it I would not spend my money here and if you stand for basic human rights you should reconsider spending your money...

Dear Mallory P, As this is a condo resident and property management issue, this has been directed to the Pantages Tower's property manager for the condo residents. The Pantages Hotel only offers Valet Parking for our guests, as such, disabled guests just drop their cars at the front door for our guest services to park on their behalf. Should you...

Had a great experience staying here. Tickets to Massey Hall had us in TO and Pantages is right across the street, could not be more convenient. The room rare was fantastic via Getaroom so we were a little nervous about what to expect. Staff were without fail friendly and helpful, from valet to desk to housekeeping. Next time I'll self...

The Pantages hotel is a decent place to stay in downtown Toronto. It's a good location, the staff was helpful and friendly. But the price was very very good via travelpony. My room was ok, but the bathroom was badly in need of refreshing. It's almost like they are in the process of renovating the hotel, but they haven't gotten...

I've stayed here several times and while I've tried a few other Toronto hotels, I think this is now my go to hotel to stay in Toronto. I even wish there were locations everywhere I travel! The staff tend to be very welcoming and even remember you. I have had experiences with distracted or curt staff once or twice but...

I've stayed here many times. They retain their staff which is a good sign - and when they greet me and say 'welcome home' anytime I come there, this makes me want to come back. I'm a big fan of the comfy beds - I had myself a skyline suite for a couple of weeks. Other times just the standard...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
