This is very convenient place to approach all happening places around, "Dundas square" just few minutes walking distance from this hotel is the most happening place like Newyork time square. Eaton centre is just 3 min walk, the largest mall having many brands for shopping. Staff is excellent, rooms are decently large. Close to public transport queens station or Dundas... More

This was my first stay at this facility. Great location for quick access to St. Michael's Hospital. Arrival went smoothly with a very competent valet who then greeted me by name each time he saw me. Facility shows wear and tear. The 'lobby' is a corridor to a small counter. The two rooms that we rented were clean spacious. The... More

Stayed on 17th floor, windows open with filtered sound of Toronto below. Great location. Walked to Chinatown, Kensington Market, Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market and Bloor Street all from this location. Try Fran's Diner right on corner. Clean and spacious room. Great valet parking. Loved it

This hotel was very clean and relaxing. We chose this hotel because we thought we were going to see The Lion King at the Ed Mervish Theatre which is right next to it. It turned out, it was playing at the Princess of Whales Theatre. But the hotel was so central it was very easy to get to our destination.... More

In general, this is a very nice hotel. The location is excellent (2 minute walk to the Eaton Centre and Yonge Street) and is a great base for visiting downtown Toronto. Stayed at the Pantages Hotel May 17, 2014. The room was surprisingly spacious for a Toronto hotel. It was clean and had a well stocked mini bar. Check in was fast and so was the valet. This property is centrally located and within walking distance to many fine restaurants and malls. The unfortunate part is that the location is across from a hospital so you may hear sirens at times - well that is part of living and staying in a congested area. This property is excellently located in downtown Toronto. The accommodations make you think of a hotel in urban Europe. Great hotel, great location, right by Easton's centre. Excellent rooms. Frans restaurant is attached with good food & plenty of it. Washer & dryer in most rooms. Gov't rates available. One thing is that they park for you as you are not allowed in underground parking, which is fine. We have stayed here many many times.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
