Great location 3 mins walk to Toronto Eaton Center. Really good rooms. We stayed 3 nights and had booked 2 rooms. One of the rooms got upgraded to a suite. Only problem was at night when we pulled the curtains in the bedroom it left a gap of 6 inches from the wall, so lots of light came in. As...

My wife, father in law and I enjoyed 4 nights here last week. In the heart of the downtown district, the hotel features spacious rooms, well mannered desk clerks, good maid service, and rooms with refrigerators and some with microwaves. We saved money by booking with Priceline, by using a nearby municipal garage, and by getting breakfast at Fran's, a...

The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be very central- close to the subway, walking distance to many landmarks, etc. Valet parking is quite reasonable for the area and the valet staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The hotel entrance gives you the feeling of entering a night club with dark, contemporary furnishings. The main floor restroom (just behind...

Stayed here recently on gift certificate. Lobby is small but upscale, $40 valet parking only option. Great location, Fran's Rest. right next store on Shuter. Staff very good. Our King Room was small but well appointed and clean. The building is older with lots of reno. work evident. Bathroom with shower and jet tub. Great mini bar priced average for...

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, especially for the location/price point. The standard room was relatively large, very modern, has a stand-up shower and a jet tub, and a fully stocked bar. I had called down to the front desk a couple of times and they were quick to respond to my requests.

I recently stayed at the Pantages because my fiancé believed that based on the website and the ratings that it would be a pleasant change from the upscale boutique hotels that we frequented in Toronto on previous occasions. We decided to chance the Pantages given the spa details and the fine location and the details provided on the website as...

Was in Toronto for the week on business. The pantages was a perfect hotel due to location but that is all. Check in was slow, only 1 lady at counter trying her best to handle the flow. Got to my room and the a/c was not working and had to be moved. No help with my bags on move?. Food...

The hotel is located one street east of the Eatons Centre and just down from Dundas Square. This is definitely the heart of Toronto and being there means walking to many of the sites is possible. However the best part is Victoria Street is quiet so there is no issue with noise. The doorman is always there to greet and...

The staff was awesome! The were so helpful in calling on reservations for dinner and giving us directions when we needed them. We were without the use of our cell phones, as we didn't get an international plan, so they were really great about giving us ideas on what to do and how to get there. The room itself was...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
