I've stayed at the knights inn ~5 times in the past year and a half and it has its pros and cons. It is close to the shopping centres, but not immediately near any good transit routes. The rooms are very very small. 3 of the times I stayed I was put in rooms that were reasonable size, had a...

I didn't have much expectations with the hotel. But it was a pleasant surprise. No parking spot available. One way street driving was a little confusing. Helpful staff, who tried to do everything they can do to make my stay good. Old building which currently seems like undergoing some updation

Could walk to all downtown attraction. No parking on site. They needed a $200 credit card/cash deposit on arrival. Rooms were super small but well clean. Friendly staff. Currently undergoing renovation ,from what it looks like. Overall, good value for money.

Not easy to get to with the one way streets. Location is what I consider a "shady" area. Never felt safe at this hotel. 3 parking spots at front side of building and 3 parking spots right in front of the building but hotel staff would not let me park there. Single woman - had to park very far away...

Had to attend Sick Kids, Uber had us to hospital in under 7 min. We booked last minute. Check in was easy, staff was friendly and complimentary breakfast was decent. ... but ... no on site parking (had to either purchase parking pass from city of Toronto or use public parking, which is a 5 min walk from hotel), electrical...

First of all, if you are looking for the Hilton, stay at the Hilton. This is definitely not it. The Knight's Inn is an older property in the old City of Toronto that is currently undergoing renovations. The new owners of eight months are truly trying to bring this place up to par. However, it still is a budget property...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
