This was our second stay at One King West and it will not be our last. Steve, the general manager, went above and beyond what we could have imagined to make our stay so special. We were visiting Toronto with friends celebrating our recent engagement. Upon check-in, we found out our room had been upgraded to the 44th floor and...

Not what it used to be. Been a guest of this hotel 5 or so times, most recently a weekend getaway for my anniversary. We've never stayed in a balcony room here at one king west and though we'd try it out. The balcony rooms are an extra 50$ a night which would be fine however it's not even a...

I spent five nights at this wonderful hotel and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is centrally located and directly connected to the PATH which offers extensive underground shopping. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff are very friendly. There is a Starbucks coffee shop and a Shoppers Drug Mart just across the street. It is in the business district...

When my boyfriend and I checked into our suite, we noticed that it had not been cleaned thoroughly. There were pizza dipping sauces, garbage and a used condom left in the room. I was absolutely horrified. Hotel stuff moved us to a new room immediately and we were given compensation on a 15.00$ breakfast. I was not given the courtesy...

The room was cramped, the room was cold and the heating didn't work, the room we requested was not available (we were asked to change an hour before check in), the "upgrade" was not better, the dishes were dirty, there was no dish washing cleanser, there were only 2 towels, there were no movies to rent, there was no extra...

This is a very reasonably priced hotel if you need to stay downtown. The rooms are hit and miss. First room had an atrium skylight with no cover. Second room had an interior view. YUCK!!!!!! Neither of these rooms should be rented out. Valet is hit and miss. Pulled up and the rude valet said they were full. Checked in...

Stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The room was very compact, however they managed to have a small kitchenette with all the amenities needed for a week or two. It was in the Tower-Deluxe suite. Very classy place. Service at front desk and the restaurant at breakfast was great. Absolutely loved the vault! Great for cocktail parties. Would really...

Was here for a wedding, was in the old tower. Room was clean but the air was broken. Tried contacting front desk and I was left in a holding sequence for over half and hour. They texted me when I checked in so I texted back and they instructed me to contact front desk which I couldn't get through to....

USED to love this hotel. Now...useless wifi (used up all my data instead), had to park off-site and walk since parking full every day, lobby smelled like weed, several bulbs burnt out in room, bedroom TV not anchored safely to wall, wasted sqft as hallway, poorly lit room, old in-room doors don't close properly OR quietly. What a SHAME.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
