I'm so glad I stayed at the Gladstone!! It was cool, hip, funky and walking distance to so many other cool, hip funky places. My room was clean, my bed was fluffy and cozy the staff was polite and helpful from the minute I walked through the door. As far as parking I just parked down the block across from...

We had looked forward to visit Toronto for a long time and had made reservations at a hotel closer to the downtown area of city. But after doing some research we learned the West Queen West neighborhood would suit us better. I'm really glad that we did change to this hotel. Over all our stay was excellent. The staff was...

Very cool. Great for the urban traveler. Cool bar and restaurant - didn't try the club myself but seemed humming. All that is said about the noise is true. If you want peace and quiet - go to the country. This is for cool urban types. Best part of town - very funky.

My wife and I and 3 daughters had a great stay - we took the Tower Suite which is one of the coolest and most charming hotel rooms we have stayed in. The hotel has a great urban vibe within a beautiful 100 yr old Victorian building in Parkdale. Very friendly staff, welcoming cafe/bar with interesting beers on tap and...

My 18 year old daughter and I stayed here on a recent trip to Toronto and absolutely loved it. As soon as we walked in, tired after a lengthy journey, our spirits were well and truly lifted. The Gladstone's a cool (in every sense of the word), calm, not at all try-hard sanctuary. There really isn't anything I can think...

Every time I've stayed at this hotel I've been oh so pleasantly surprised by the room that was chosen for me. Art is life at this place. Puzzled or gray your mood will be set by the magic of wonder. Parking the cheapest on earth. Canadians take their karaoke seriously in the bar downstairs. Don't forget to eat your breakfast...

our stay was overall excellent. the room we stayed in was on the small side, but the room and the entire hotel was just full of character. the artwork displayed everywhere makes staying there an event in itself. the location is also very good, with many options for eating and drinking in the area. there is a street car and...

Angled old wood floors, large halls filled with turn of the 20th Century millwork and an elevator to match. The staff here are always at your beckoning call and happy to be so. Although our room was small it was comfortable. The Hotel is in a real trendy neighborhood and fun to walk around and explore fashion and food.

I recently stayed here with my 15year old niece. We both loved it! The art work, elevator, location were all awesome! I parked down the street & was able to see some of the neighborhood...& felt really safe & very hip. The shower was a little small, but seriously all anyone needs is that wonderful soap & a bucket. Great...

Very hip hotel and scene with NO attitude. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast food was delicious, especially the pancake with maple butter. Cocktails were original and delicious. The hotel offers free use of their 2 bicycles on a first-come-first serve basis, including locks, helmets, and lunch bags. Each room is uniquely decorated and there are art exhibits on...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
