Very good location that's about it. Very tired property. If your not too picky it's okay. We were right across the bathroom so we could hear everyone. Also the furniture made a settling noise once in a while it would awake us in the middle of the night.

I travelled to Toronto with my 5 yr old. I was looking for cheap, centrally located and clean. I was okay with a hostel type environment, sharing a bathroom, and a kitchen. For the price, I was very happy. The air was stuffy, but it was in the middle of a heat wave in July. The air conditioner was not...

Property has 6 rooms . Located in a residential area close to dupont and spadina subway stations. The shared kitchen has all the basic amenities but no stove. The room on second floor was of good size and quiet. However the portable AC was noisy and not very efficient. I was able to manage with open windows but the room...

Really convenient location just north of the University of Toronto downtown, right in between two train stations. For a small fee, the bed and breakfast owner lets you park your car all day, which saves on parking cost downtown Toronto and on the struggle of finding a parking spot. Very friendly host too.

Super clean, nice sized rooms, fantastic location a hop away from subway. Gary is a friendly, non-intrusive host who makes himself available when his assistance is needed and able to give solid advice about the neighbourhood restaurants etc. Our group took the two rooms at the top so we could have the bathrooms to ourselves (no guarantee, but that was...

Although I was on a business trip and could have afforded a place more expensive I chose Havinn Guesthouse and it turned out to be the right decision. The place has a much more individualistic and backpacker feeling to it than any of the standard hotels. Only 6 rooms with two shared bathrooms. To me that is no problem, to...

I stayed in Havinn for two nights - chose this guesthouse mainly because of its price and location, but I was really lucky to find this nice, small place to stay in an interesting neighborhood (some beautiful Victorian houses, a lot of restaurants, subway stations, many shops and banks, etc.). The owner gave me a precise instruction in advance how...

We'd been to travel in Toronto and stay in Havinn International hostel for 3 night. It's near Dupont subway station only 5 minute walk ( 3-400 meter distance) The owner Gary was very nice and helpful. There's 6 bedroom , clean , comfortable and well furnish. Bathroom was shared but it's very clean. (There're 2 mixed bathroom & toilet and...

Arrived at airport in Toronto and went to visitors desk to see the best transport option for getting to the accomodation, when the lady at the desk phoned to get directions, she was told that he had sold our room to someone else so luckily she organised alternative accomodation for us. This was a very disappointing start to our visit...

I selected this guest house (it is not a B+B) because of the location and price. The price was right and the location good but the property itself is very tired. The host seemed pleasant enough but I did not see enough of him to be able to say much more. You get what you pay for with this property.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
