I was relieved and impressed that our hosts were OK with our late arrival (close to midnight) from Montreal, having left after a full working day. Our bedroom with an exceptionally comfortable bed, our shared bathroom, and tasty filling breakfast were all super. We enjoyed wandering around their terraced oasis-like garden too. Definitely would return. They deserve their status as...

I stayed at the b&b this week. I ended up in Toronto on a last minute trip and booked it on the day I arrived. They were very accommodating with my request for an early check in. I stayed in the elegant country room. Very clean and comfortable. The house is beautiful and Margo and Ziggy are lovely hosts. Breakfast...

I usually stay downtown for business meetings but got pushed out by TIFF and World Cup of Hockey that booked up all the reasonable rooms. Turned out to be a blessing disguise as I discovered By the Park B&B ! This is a delightful B&B, great rooms, exceptionally clean, functional and quiet. Beautiful old house, friendly helpful hosts, delicious food...

I stayed in the rose room for one night and was blown away. The room was large, king size bed very comfortable, room was quiet and owners very nice and accommodating. I booked it on a whim so didn't know what to expect, but everything was clean, beautifully decorated and completely exceeded my expectations. Beautiful room and area. Highly recommended,...

The Ivy Suite is a spacious, fully equipped main floor apartment with access to a lovely backyard deck in a beautiful treed area of the city close to High Park. There are fabulous restaurants and cafes right across the street (two of our favourites were Mabel's Bakery and Pizzeria Defina). The entire space was immaculately clean, and the window air...

This B&B is a lovely heritage home in a leafy and beautiful neighbourhood of Toronto, just west of downtown. My room (the Loft Suite) was lovely and spacious and impeccably clean. I had a view of the trees in scenic High Park just outside my window. The hosts are friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay very much. The...

My daughter and I stayed overnight in the Daisy room (located in the basement). Although the room was small in size, it was clean and comfortable. The adjoining personal bathroom (sink, toilet, shower) had been recently updated and was clean. There are three bedrooms on this level. Each one has access to a shared kitchen which was also clean and...

We stayed in The Victorian Suite for four nights at the beginning of September, our first visit to Toronto from the UK, which was for a family party, taking in some sightseeing. We were made very welcome, the room was well appointed, very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast tasty and wholesome. A good, relatively quiet location , close to...

Margo and Ziggy are excellent hosts in their superbly renovated home from home. Our bedrooms at the BnB were spacious and comfortable and the ducted air conditioning was brilliant (given the heat and humidity during the time we were there). The transit station was less than a 5 minute walk and 25 minutes later you were in downtown Toronto. Very...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
