Me and a couple of my friends held our annual Christmas get together at Residence. We got the room for a reasonable price but the parking was expensive...which is normal if you're staying in downtown Toronto overnight. Location is key...it's super close to everything! The room was beautiful and I guess we got upgraded to the one with a nice...

Suite was well equipped, very clean and nicely decorated. Check-in was speedy, staff was very friendly, and the location (around the corner from Second City) was perfect for our Toronto stay. Would definitely stay here again.

When we travel with the kids especially, we like to stay here. Although we have also stayed as a couple. We were given an upgrade at check in which was very nice. The front desk staff were very friendly. The room was quiet and comfortable. I like that there were thermostats in each room. We were pleased with the breakfast...

We stayed at the Residence Inn just to get away from home after our sweet Bichon died. We had a lovely room and were very impressed by the cleanliness and decor in the room. The price was very reasonable and we requested a high floor corner suite. The front desk staff was very accommodating and we got a corner room...

We've stayed at this hotel (1 king + pullout couch) at least 3-4 times and always been happy with it. Close to the clubbing district and lots of local areas to grab food. Room was clean and very spacious to have a pre-party before heading out for the night.

While I appreciate that we stayed over the...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
