Nice grassy campground near the ocean. Our site was very close to the beach and sleep came easily at night with the surf in the background. The employees were friendly and helpful and it made a great base for touring that end of the island. The downer was that WiFi was only available if you paid for it on a...

We spent one night here tent camping, unfortunately the site we had chosen had a large and very bright light too close by which made it almost impossible to get to sleep. It was also quite windy, so a more sheltered site would have been a good choice. We were on site 2 and I'm pretty sure it would be...

Spent 2 nights at this park, initially some trouble on arrival as at gate we were told our RV was too big for site we had reserved! Despite giving dimensions of RV upon making our reservation back in April. Staff managed to find a site for us after some discussion. Recommend to always print off reservation details. Beach was just...

Grassy sites, some sunny and some shaded. Some are rather close together. Excellent laundry facilities and only $1 per machine! Nice beach access. Close to West Point, easy drive to North Cape. I would return to this park.

My husband and I were looking for a beach to visit while on the west coast of PEI and we are so glad we found this gem! The lighthouse is stunning and is actually a hotel. The beach itself is rather quiet, not over crowded and gorgeous. Like most (or all) PEI beaches there were a lot of rocks because...

Cedar Dunes is a great beach that's off the beaten trail in western Prince Edward Island. The West Point Lighthouse overlooks this beautiful beach. It could be a bit hard to find but with the help of the PEI Beaches Video Guide that I picked up on the iTunes App Store and it's map feature it was a snap PLUS...

We got horribly lost using our Rand McNally to get here, but some local stoners in Alberton helped us out. Thanks guys! We encountered very few people here, and did some beach combing while taking pictures and strolling the beach. After some time, we realized that the lighthouse is actually a hotel. I'm glad we didn't sleep there though, a...

Tent camped for 2 nights to ride out a nor'easter. Had the place to myself! Staff are islanders first, and are just wonderful folks. They made sure I knew there was a shelter where I could work (had power) eat, and stay dry. A restaurant down the road served up a great haddock and chips (best chips I had on...

Great beach for kids that want to be in the water. We went at high tide and the water was just right for swimming, floating and goofing around. Consistently the beach with the warmest posted water temperature. As with all the PEI Provincial beaches that I have visited, there are lifeguards, clean changing areas and no entry fees.
