The Staff was excellent, especially the young man on the night shift. Breakfast was delicious, great selection, especially the 1 minute pancake maker. Will definitely stay here again, thank for making our trip extra special ❤️

Everything in the rooms were neatly presented and extremely clean, as well as the rest of the hotel. Staff were accommodating and very welcoming. Although the room was cold when walking in, the room temperature easily adjusted and was very comfortable. Will definitely recommend and stay here again!

We actually redeemed our Holiday Inn free night reward for this place because it had the highest valuation. Upon viewing it in person, it was clear that it was valued so highly because of its location on the Island, not because it was an exceptionally nice hotel. 🤷
That said, it was a fine stay.

The lows: Booked a room for 5 people for 6 nights, months in advance. When we got there, we were told that a cot for our 5th person was A) extra and B) on a first come, first served basis and not guaranteed. Lots of places charge extra for the cot, but they do so *at the time you book the room for 5 people*, not wait until you show up and then tell you one person may or may not have a place to sleep. Also, as other reviews have mentioned the hotel is very noisy. Both noise from the halls, which the hotel can't completely control, but the doors aren't very well sealed, and the air conditioners are extremely noisy.
The highs: The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was excellent, if busy. Good mix of food, and they change up the hot items daily so that if you're staying a while you're not eating the same thing every day. Nice pool and exercise room.

We appreciate the very gracious and accommodating front desk clerk Romaine, as well as other employees. The room where we stayed for about 9 days was comfortable and clean. We were able to get a rubber bathtub mat upon request. We requested and got a quiet room in a designated quiet zone, which is a good thing because there are many groups of teenagers staying there and they can sometimes be loud in their rooms and the corridors. The included breakfast buffet was the typical one to be expected at this type of property. The food tasted average, but it was plentiful and varied, and there were some healthy options. Scrambled eggs are in plain sight, but you sometimes have to hunt for the hard boiled. There is plain (unsweetened and unflavored) instant oatmeal, a godsend for guests who are trying to eat healthy. Also sweetened baked beans, a waffle maker, toast, bagels, some fresh fruit, flavored sweetened yogurt, good quality Higgins tea bags, Unfortunately, all the meat choices are pork. The buffet staff are very hard working and kept busy every moment at this popular hotel. Some travelers might prefer to stay in the charming downtown, but we like the plentiful hassle-free parking at this location. Also there are supermarkets, a cinema, and other convenient businesses nearby. Washers and dryers and a safe deposit box are available. The one inconvenience was the room window. The main problem was it was extraordinarily heavy to lift open. Also, the latch that is meant to keep it partially open was broken but never fixed during our entire stay. Staff did their best by providing various objects to prop it open, but maintenance really should have dealt with it. Even if you have a normal amount of upper body strength, you have to struggle to lift the heavy window with one hand while placing an object under it with the other hand. However, overall this is a great place. We give it our highest recommendation.

Nice hotel. Very conveniently located in a quiet area but close to all amenities. The lighting in the room is much softer and indirect making a nice change from the usual harsh hotel lights. Bedding and beds are very comfortable. Welcoming staff . A wonderful breakfast in spite of COVID precautions. Good place and will definitely visit again.

It’s a Holiday Inn Express, so a pretty standard hotel. Accommodations are fine, rooms are clean, plenty of parking. The location will require you to drive to everything, there’s really nothing within walking distance to see or do. It’s less expensive than the hotels downtown which is why we chose it. Fine for a few nights, a good home base for touring PEI.

On Sunday August 28th, 2022, my wife and I arrived around 4:00 pm at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. For check-in, the friendly front desk staff welcomed us. We noticed that the Inn was newly built, public places were bright and colorful, impeccably clean, and well arranged. It was easy and quick at getting our magnetic room key. Our second floor Standard King Bedroom was available and accessible by elevator. From our window we could see the left side parking lot. During our stay, we parked in front of the building which was more convenient for us. It was only a short drive to newly opened restaurants. Front desk staff had recommended we try the Local Pub & Oster Bar in Charlottetown, and we did. Next morning, the complimentary hot breakfast buffet was delicious. Before leaving the premises, the front desk made sure we got our invoice statement. We do appreciate Holiday Inn’s cleanliness standards and would recommend it and would rate our stay as four stars.

we called to book to ask if we could book if not 21 if we had a credit card to put on file and we’re reassured that it was totally fine we would have no problems as long as their a card to be kept on file. We were booked for a king room and called prior offered an upgrade for a king suite and we happily accepted. When we got to hotel the room wasn’t ready yet, no problem we are from out of province and explored the town for a bit until getting the call it was ready, when we got back we were in line behind a lady putting up a huge fuss as she had booked a regular room and wanted to upgrade to a king suite but the staff had told her they had none left, eventually they caved in. When we checked in there was no problems about age and staff was kind and gave us room key which we assumed was for the king suite we had booked. We got to room for it to be a regular room and assumed it was a mistake and went back down to desk. We were told they had no other king suites or even rooms with king beds and then were told that since we were under 21 we should be lucky we’re allowed to stay in general and lectured about making sure to be on our best behaviour as if we are children. We didn’t get the room we booked nor quality customer service. We were also lied too when giving us the room key, they were just hoping we wouldn’t notice and I am sure they gave our room to the lady who made a stink. They discriminated us against our age, if the age was going to be a problem they should of stated at time of booking. I would not recommend this hotel as they are biased, rude and discriminate.

I booked this hotel online, when I arrived I began to attempt to check in, I was not aware of the age restrictions on booking a room at this hotel, as the average minimum is 19 compared to their 21, as I am 20 I was belittled by the manager and two other employees. As I was being without a room for a statement not advertised I tried to go about this as professionally as needed, tried changing the room booking name to another person with me staying in said room who was 21+, when that was blatantly and rudely refused and was told I will not be obtaining my room and to contact said website I booked said room for “what refund you can get” absolutely outrageous, not advertising specific guidelines, sending false information to multiple booking companies and refusing to help a customer who had previously paid in full. I will NEVER return to this hotel. And manager if you are reading this, I hope you have as bad of an evening as I have had. Thank you
