This hotel in the picture looks very good however 3/4 of the hotel is under construction. We were put into a room across the street from hotel. The room and the breakfast room were dirty! We had a security guard patrolling the hallway during the day and night and people out in the parking lot smoking pot and partying. There were homeless people living in the units below us. A terrible experience and not worth the money paid for the room.

The staff were nice but the hotel needs a little work. The rooms were old and no well cleaned. It’s almost a 3 but that’s pushing it and I don’t want to set any expectations. It’s the cheapest hotel in town for a reason and if you are not a picky person you can make it work. If anyone in your group is even slightly picky you should chose somewhere else. Also this place is pet friendly which was a bonus. I’ll give it a 3 but it’s really a 2.5 rounded up.

The hotel was clean and very inviting. I have driven by this place many times but I needed a last-minute stay and they had the best rate in town. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was immaculate. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast (cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, juice, tea coffee)

I would give -5 stars if possible. Literally the worlds worst customer service. We showed up for hockey tournament with 17 families, immediately noticed mold smell in lobby check in. After front desk took full payment of credit card they informed us pool was closed until further notice. As were unpacking bags into building across the street our kids noticed needles in parking lot next to front entrance, as you opened up the back door you were met with a pungent smell of cigarette and cannabis throughout hallway. Once we arrived to room there was a worse smell of mold & mildew. Once we turned on the lights the mold was seen across the wall and all over baseboard and lamp. We immediately went to front desk and demanded our money back. While we were waiting to find another hotel at 11:30 pm the hotel staff went room the room confirming all 41 rooms requesting refund vacated their room. When confronted by rude staff they demanded we leave the premises immediately, we explained we were trying to find another hotel in proximity with no success, they called the police on us as we were trespassing! How the city of Charlottetown is allowing this embarrassment to continue to operate as a hotel is disgusting. This place should be shut down immediately due to health and safety concerns as well as many fire code breaches.

First thing. This says that it’s an inn and conference centre but yet has no bar or restaurant! What inn and conference centre wouldn’t have those? This place also charges a damage deposit to your credit card and then returns in once your room is inspected. That should tell you the type of clientele that they have. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. Overall the room wasn’t too bad. But during my month long motorcycle trip, this was my last hotel stay and I had no issues with my credit card until after this stay. It got compromised a little while later. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Positives: - This hotel has two buildings, one main one and another small one across the street. - has elevators - has an underground tunnel connecting both buildings, good for winter with cold and snow outside Negatives: - It's gross-ness and dirty-ness is comparable than that of Embassy Suite in Montreal. The difference is I paid a slightly lower price for this hotel, but not by much. - The first room was dirty, then they moved me to another room down the hall, and still unclean. - No heater only air conditioner - Called the front desk, they suggested I turned the temperature up and it would take 20 minutes to warm up. I did what they suggested and still did not work. I waited an hour before calling the front desk again. The hotel then sent a staff called Benny to take a look. Benny has got an attitude which needs more coaching or should be removed from doing this; nor he knew how to solve the problem, and worse yet, he lies about having heater in the room saying the control panel is for both heater and air condition, when it is only for air conditioner. - No comforter or warm blanket in the room - Only a thin sheet cover for the bed. Asked the hotel for a warm blanket or comforter, they did not respond nor apologize. It was around 40F at night. - Dirty bathrooms, hairs everywhere, did not think the housekeeping cleaned it. Dirty toilet paper on the ground of the closet in the room. - Hairs found on the bed and pillow. The hotel sent another staff, Donut, to come fix and make the bed with clean sheets. - The sink only had cold water, Donut checked and agreed. - Trash cans did not completely empty out - Molds and fungus along the wood edges of kitchen counter - Unclean refrigerator with hairs inside - Cabinet unclean - Common area in the second building across from the lobby shows obvious wear and tear with dirty/worn carpets. - Greasy kitchen - Very limited electrical outlet throughout the room and located in locations that are not easy for one to use his/her laptop or charge smart devices - Dirty lamp covers with spider webs - The floor lamp did not work, couldn't turn on the lights - unclean bathtub - unclean desk surface - large toilet trash found on the corner floor inside the closet - only one trash can in the entire room. Normally a room would have two trash cans, one in the bathroom and one in the living room. Hotels in Prince Edward Islands is generally more expensive. For the same amount, you may get a 4 star in New Brunswick, but only 3 star in Prince Edward Island. Even with this in mind, I still do not feel comfortable recommending in this hotel because it failed to provide multiple expected items in addition to an unclean and gross room: no hot water, no heater, no comforter or warm blanket, and a dirty bed. Please do not stay in this hotel. It's a -5 star (negative 5) hotel masking with a fancy name, similar to Embassy Suite in Montreal. There are many other hotels in Charlottetown. And if you don't mind driving, Moncton, New Brunswick has many and better lodging options. Please take lots of photos or videos to document your room upon arrival because they charges $200 CAD for incidental and with the terrible existing room condition, they could easily count that against you if they want to. So take detailed photos to prove that you don't cause these damages, should issues arise. Stay elsewhere is still the best strategy.

Where do I start...They rigidly adhere to a 3 pm check in. When you arrive you are charged a separate $200 security deposit on the room - who does that! Talk about treating all of your guests like criminals at check in. The check in process is lengthy, not helped by the limited English abilities of the desk clerk. The staff were generally unhelpful and not friendly. The room was dirty, mould in the bathroom, smells terrible, shower wouldn't work, uncleaned coffee maker still with old grounds in it. The room was booked for me by someone else but they denied that it was paid for - even though it was (so now it has been doubly paid for and trying to reverse charges). No meals available - fortunately there are several nice restaurants within walking distance. Without a doubt this is the worst hotel I have stayed in the last ten years. Needs a full overhaul and new management.

We booked this through Expedia and paid in advance so no refunds available. The photos they show are NOT recent...they must be about 10 years old. The hotel is run down - the paint is peeling drastically , UNFRIENDLY staff - not helpful at all. The rooms all smell. HUGE stains on all the carpets. We had 1/2 roll of toilet paper, garbage was left over after "they cleaned" and the ant trap was a nice touch. We got up the next day expecting at least a clean room and a nice breakfast. The breakfast room is dismal and breakfast consists on cold cereal, toast, coffee - only decaf as they had no regular etc. NOT HOT FOOD although the have a full "catering" department. The lady working there "cleaned" the counters by using her hand (ungloved) to wipe the crumbs onto the floor and leaving them there. When we returned - nothing was cleaned in our room., we went to the front desk and they said that "because of Covid, they only clean after our stay". we were there for 7 days!!! YOu have to ask for toilet paper and towels - and they deliver them without gloves or masks . So much for Covid protocols . So they cannot clean the rooms because of Covid ---yet NO NOT wear masks, use gloves, provide sanitizer or even have plexiglass at the front desk. Which it is...are you following Covid protocols or not????? Would you like some black mold with your shower - they provide that as well.(see photo) The place is NOT secure - one of the doors (where the front desk cannot see) is left unlocked 24/7. Anyone can walk in and do whatever they want. There are open electrical boxes without covers in the hallways for inquisitive children to play with. Unfriendly staff on all levels. We decided to check out a ay early - enough was enough. Went to the front desk, they said 'Card", entered info in the computer and said "you're done". And that was it....no thank you for staying, why are you leaving early, thanks for forking over hard earned cash to us for doing nothing". Zip, nothing. If you have to stay in Charlottetown, do yourself a favour and AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. They actually have a Diamond Status from CAA in 2020 and 3.5 out of 4 from Canada Select in 2022! I will be writing to them asking them to review their qualifications. And we are writing to Expedia to get some money back. I am hoping that Trip Advisor and Expedia investigate the 4 and 5 star ratings...they will probably see they all come from one IP address and should be removed.

The hotel claims they have recently renovated, this is fiction. The hotel is old, run down, not maintained, rooms are dirty with a horrible odor 🤮! Never, ever, ever would I stay here again. The room had not been clean: floors not vacuumed, bathroom dirty, stains on walls, I pray the sheets were changed 😬.

Hello Darren, We always appreciate feedback from our guests and see your comments as an essential element to help us improve the quality of our hotel. I would like to extend our apologies for your uncomfortable stay. We are aware that the hotel is dated and in need of renovations, we also wish to provide our guests with the most comfortable stay possible, which is why we are currently working hard towards updating the property and our standards of operations. I am unsure of where you saw that we have been recently renovated but I apologize for the confusion and will be looking into this to correct the error. We are not recently renovated but rather starting renovations, to improve the hotel for the comfort of our guests. I would also like to apologize for the uncleanliness of your room. Though the rooms are old and I need of renovation, we do strive for highest sanitary standards possible, and we are looking into the issues you experienced in your room during your stay.
