The staff worked hard and were courteous, but the room was terrible. Allow me to list deficiencies - mattress was very old with metal edges about to break through, windowsill had multiple layers of peeling paint and bear wood, multiple plugs in power strip, smoke alarm appeared to not be working (no light of any kind), no fitted sheets (?!), everything in the room old and beat. The bathroom was nice and appeared to be recently updated, but there were no grab bars at all - a problem for my 92 year old mom or anyone. I assume management will respond with the perfunctory excuses and soon someone will miraculously give it a perfect 5. Stay away.

Room was musty and dark because of construction outside our window. Couldn't open curtains. Room was cold because heat was shut off. Was given a base heater which helped but took awhile to heat the Room. And noise from construction cut our sleep short and the enjoyment of the room before we checked out.

The hotel is a historic building and quite lovely. Our issue was that we experienced excessive noise to the point that we could not have a conversation in our room and staff advised that they could not address it until the official quiet hours of 10 pm. The noise (kids screaming, fighting and yelling and having a full hockey game with nets and all in the hallway) went non-stop from approx. 8 pm until 9:54 pm one night. We gets kids want to have fun but this was just plain unreasonable.

It was our first stay at The Rodd Charlottetown - but won’t be our last ! Our room was lovely and the hotel staff made us feel very welcome ! Next time we’ll be sure to take advantage of dining in your hotel restaurant for breakfast - the dining room looked lovely and your prices were very reasonable.

Convenient location, Very Clean hotel with excellent customer service. Great value. Staff were routinely keeping our water pitchers filled, and the meals they catered for lunch and dinner were of high quality. All staff always had a smile on their face and were very approachable. For an older hotel it was very clean and in good state. It was welcoming that for an older hotel their fitness room actually had equipment instead of like some hotels only having a treadmill and advertising that they have a fitness facility

Impressive colonial architecture! We loved the look of the Lobby and Chambers restaurant. Breakfast was amazing for a very reasonable cost. Gourmet food with great servers. This hotel has a stunning rooftop patio on the 5th floor with absolutely spectacular panoramic view of the city. Very impressive. Staff was very friendly and good. Location of the hotel is awesome. Close to everything yet quiet. Elevators are almost instant, no wait. We had a great stay, felt like Royalty. Overall atmosphere is awesome.

Just 100 m from the corner of the downtown where a lot of good restaurants exist. About 10 min walk from the port. When we arrived all the parking rots were occupied and it was very difficult to park because of a party held in ballroom. Moreover, until 1 am of Sunday it was noisy at the patio.

Our first room was filthy, thick dust on ALL the furniture. They were doing construction on the building. However this was so thick theres no way someone has cleaned that morning. We asked to switch rooms, which they did no problem, they even went and checked the room before giving us a key, assuring us this room was clean. When we got in the new room, although clean looking a previous guests clothes was still in the washroom…

Recently attended a conference at Rodd Charlottetown, the staff were friendly and efficient, rooms are on the smaller side and dated, but they are clean. Conference facilities were perfect the meals provided were exceptional some of the best food I have had. Great variety and dealt with various dietary restrictions effortlessly. Staff went above and beyond to make sure that very thing was perfect. Would highly recommend using the Rodd Charlottetown for any conference or meeting, they roll out the Welcome mat. The food and beverage manager Tricia, is one of the best I’ve dealt with, very hands on and so easy going to deal with. If you’re into historic charm this is the room for you, complemented with keys that suite the environment, although the beds were the highlight and highly comfortable. While we didn’t use any of the facilities when there, they did offer a great selection.
