Away from the petite Charlotte town a quiet place this hotel was. We were directly into our room as the vehicle was parked infront of our room itself ! The round tables and the writing table were a bonus for a person who gives travel writing it's due when silence pervades the room at the end of the day ....The room was a large one and the comfort level was good. The long drawn transfer of luggage from car to lobby and the lift and on the room was missing ! A great relief in case of a one night stay ! Breakfast had limited options but nevertheless was good.... Looking out of the window in a rather crammed breakfast lounge was fine given the need to hurry up and leave for Charlotte town ....

Hotel's Favourite
It was a unplanned trip to PEI with my friend and we booked this hotel at last moment when we just entered PEI. We stayed in one of the drive up rooms (I think 107). Fantastic experience. Comfortable beds, clean nd spacious room, big parking space, friendly staff. If I ever got a chance to travel to beautiful PEI, this hotel will be my 1st choice.

We stayed here two nights. We appreciated the direct access to our room. Although the room is tired and could use an upgrade there is everything you need in the room. I liked the separate eating table and the separate desk area. Things to improve on. There were cobwebs in one corner of our room and one of the light bulbs over the table was burned out. There was no light on the desk and got dark at night. The breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast, no issues or recommendations. Somehow our room cards did not work on day two for some reason. The person at the front desk attended to it.

Stayed here recently and had a good experience. Clean tidy room. Adequate breakfast, affordable. Will definitely stay here again. It was difficult to get a taxi and none were to be had due to a shortage of drivers and cabs, This was not the hotels fault. One of the check in staff was going off duty and he ran me downtown., Thanks again.

Booked for the pool and deluxe breakfast. Had a cute patio as well. The room had a mini kitchenette with sink, dishwashing soap and rags, as well as a small bar fridge and microwave. When we pour our coffee in the morning, we were mortified to see that the cleaning staff had not checked to see whether the previous tenants had cleaned the cups (gag...) as they were filthy. The shower's grout also had black mold in it...and the establishment should never try to squish in two beds in that size room as it was a maze to walk around to open and close the bathroom door. When we checked out we were not even asked how our stay was...and when we tried to tell them about our concerns, they did not seem concerned. Deluxe Breakfast: The restaurant is too small to accommodate the crowds of people that show up and the muffins looks like they were half baked. We opted not to go back for the second morning.…

We reach the city' s down town after a long drive of 2 hours and are stunned by the waterfront and the beauty around....reach this hotel and the first feel was the simple good 5 of having reached a relaxing accomodation ! The wall to wall carpet a rather jute dhurrie gave a sense of relief to the feet We were three and the room was spacious with around table for writing ! Such a wonderful for sitting at peace at oneself ......The car was parked in the front of the room itself. The beds were nicely made and we had a refreshing start for rest of the day. After dinner we returned to hotel for ending the day in quiet contemplation! It was time for a good hot bath and hitting the writing board later. In the morning 🌅 felt like having tea in patio but it was cold A cosy tea session was held by the table itself. The breakfast was simply good ! Scrambled eggs sausages ( I don't eat them but have written only as a point of reference) wahed by hot tea/ coffee fruits and muffins ! Itvwas a memorable experience indeed! I was excited to go to this hotel because it had an outdoor pool. When checking in, I had to wait for about 15 minutes because the woman behind the desk was sitting there looking at the computer. I asked her if she could check me in & she said she couldn't, she didn't start work for another 10 minutes! I was shocked! I finally got check it by the Manager. We drove to our room, it was very clean & looked great. However the beds are the worst, so hard & the pillows were not comfortable. My head seemed to be tilted downwards. I called the front desk & the same lady answered, I asked if she could give me the number for a particular restaurant, but she said I could look it up on the internet. She wouldn't help. It took over 1/2 hour to finally find the number. I called back & asked directions, again, she said I would have to call the place as they may be busy. I was angry. The pool is great if you can get in it. The rails are so low, it was very hard to get in. A lady helped me in. The worst was when we tried to wash or shower or flush the toilet. THERE WAS NO WATER! It was awful! We complained to the manager & he only took off $30 for our issues. It should have been free. But the cleaning ppl & the breakfast young woman were great! Thanks to Nikita.…

Briefly stayed in room 218. Was booked for two nights. Looked ok; figured we wouldn’t be actually at the hotel much anyways. Covered in bugs throughout the night and immediately left before 8am the next day. Was not asked why checking out early so mentioned full of bugs - the reply was “sorry about that”. Never again!!

Hi Margaret I am so sorry to hear that you did not have a good stay with us in room 118. The safety of our guests is a priority. Whenever a guest reports bugs within the premises of the room we follow a standard protocol of leaving the room out of order and getting inspected with a third-party pest control specialist. We do not rent the room until we have received the report that it is bug-free. The inspection was completed the same day and we have received an update from the pest control specialist. The report is as stated below "An inspection for bed bugs was completed in Room #118 on Wednesday, July 28th. Evidence of bed bugs was not found during our inspection. There were no live or dead bed bugs, eggs, fecal matter, cast skins, fragmented bed bugs, or any other evidence found during the inspection." We have emailed you the report for reference. I've been here several times. Love the location and pool. Decent price for Charlottetown. One issue I'd like to report - the toilet in room 121 moves when you sit on it and the seat is also very loose. The shelving under the sink was dusty and dirty. You may want to attend to the bathroom. I was going to tell the person in the morning when I checked out, but the 'be back in 5 minutes' sign was up for 10, so I just dropped the keys and left.

Me and my bf booked here to stay for our anniversary and to say it was the most horrific experience I've had at a hotel is an understatement. We booked a king suite with jacuzzi tub online through hotwire with my credit card. When we got to the hotel they needed my card again (I dont use it alot I dont know the pin) so i had to tap it. They dont have tap. I cant just pay the $250 deposit on my debit card. I cant type in the card number on the machine manually. We had to drive home and get my other credit card which also wouldnt work on there machine. I called my cc company and got them to reset my pin so I went to a bank machine and reset it so I could do the deposit. The while the attended (Vimmy) kept saying SEVERAL times if you dont pay by such a time I'll have to cancel the room. I finally get my pin changed and pay the deposit we get our keys and I ask about breakfast because it says on the website breakfast is included. No breakfast. Whatever this is about 2.5 hour affair by now so we go up to the room (NO ELEVATOR) and open the door to find the room was a MESS. It wasnt cleaned. Drag all our stuff back downstairs tell Vimmy and she goes to check to make sure we werent lying?? Gives us another room we go up trekking up the stairs again and I went to sit on the bed and I find HAIR ON THE PILLOWCASES. I then go into the bathroom and find hair in the sink and in the bathtub. By this time we are v upset and just wanted to start our night. This was disgusting especially during a pandemic they dont clean the rooms right? We trek back downstairs to desk and Vimmy "checks" the room and she finds NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. We get a refund and now this is about 3.5 of jerking us around. After we leave I got a room at the great George for $50 more dollars and got basically an apartment with a huge jacuzzi tub for 2, fresh cookies and the best customer service I've ever seen. Save your money and stay at the great george. This place is nasty. Also was supposed to be getting an email from the manager and it never happened. Vimmy needs to work on her customer service and what a clean room means.…
