Managed to find a great deal to take a spontaneous long weekend trip to Montreal. Stayed 3 nights, Friday through Sunday, 11th floor. Great location to the metro made it easy to get around. It's also on the corner of the express bus stop that will take you to/from the airport. The basic rooms are well appointed with a generous...

Booked 2 rooms at this hotel for 3 nights. I booked loft rooms. I room reserved smelt of smoke though our friends were moved to other room when told at reception. We were on the third floor at the crossroad junction at the entrance of China town, this was very noisy indeed from the traffic. Our rooms were good for...

The Hotel Zero 1 is located close to China Town and a short walk from Old Montreal. Buss connections are easy to travel around Montreal on and the Airport bus passes right by the Hotel. Rooms are small but very well appointed with a fridge, sink and microwave. We had a room on the third floor facing the square behind...

Very convenient location. Very clean. Perhaps a bit on the "yuppie" side as deco is definitely for geared to a much younger generation. Since I am here on a conference, 4 nights so far and 1 to go, I can say that I am very pleased with the hotel. Shopping, lots of restaurants, Chinatown, the Metro, The old town is...

Stayed here for four nights in August. Very easy to get to from the airport - right on the 747 bus route. Staff very friendly, and the hotel is very "industrial chic". Rooms kept very clean, and reasonably sized. The convinience store at the bottom of the hotel comes in handy from time to time. The hotel is idealy located...

I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Zero 1.. while visiting Montreal. It was supposed to be a 2 day stay.. but decided to add an extra night. Concierge was able to accommodate me. Hotel is next to china town and close to "Rue St. Catherine".. known for shopping and exhibitions. Overall, the room was clean and affordable. My...

My colleague and I stayed at Zero 1 hotel for a night an loved it. The rooms were clean and the decor was very nice. The single room (it had a queen bed) would be a little small if 2 people were to stay there, however it was great for one person. The continental breakfast on offer was reasonably priced...

I stayed in Zero 1 hotel for 5 nights in July. I picked the Loft room, which was very nice and spacious, I had a mini kitchenette and a table. Room was very clean and I was facing a little road behind the hotel,so luckily no noise at all coming from outside. The only down point is the cost of...

This is a well-located hotel for exploring Montreal (on foot or subway), right at the gates to Chinatown. It is modern, uncomplicated, with friendly staff and comfortable rooms with hidden kitchenette.

We didn't know what to expect at Zero1. A friend had recommended it and since our usual hotel was fully booked, we decided to try it. What a terrific little place. Our room was small, but contained everything we needed and fortunately, there was no carpet! We hate the mustiness that comes with those faded hotel carpets so to find...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
