Friendly and attentive staff, comfortable rooms, easy access to metro and walking distance to many sights/shopping. Room temperature control little tough to manage - short instruction info near/next to control panel would have helped

Le St-Martin is a well maintained hotel in a good location, and my room was very spacious and nicely decorated. With that said, I think there were more negative than positive elements of my stay. The room I was in was very noisy during the evening (I think I was next to a group celebrating a bachelorette or a girls'...

I was here for a bachelorette party and everything was terrific. They have a great fireplace in the lobby which is so nice to sit by. The hotel staff was great and assisted with some packages that I had delivered in advance. They were also kind, professional and very helpful with any questions we had. The rooms were very nice....

We visited the hotel for four nights over the Christmas Holiday as a family. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable rooms and the central location. Plus: the WiFi was free and fast. We did not get a chance to use the heated outdoor pool (which is open year round) - but would love to return.

I really loved this hotel! It is only 10 mins walk to the Gare Central and offers an excellent location to all the beauty of Montreal. What I have seen on my travels so far, I was very surprised that this was a 4* hotel only. My expectations have been overtopped. The rooms are beautiful and offer very comfortable big...

Okay, I go yo Montreal 1-2 times a year (nice drive or train ride from NYC). I've stayed at my fair share of hotels, this one was the more luxurious one. I loved that it was small enough, the bathroom was AMAZING, it's walking distance from one of the best French restaurants and good eateries. Starbucks is close by, TD...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
