Gervais could give customer service lessons to the Ritz Carlton. l'Argot is super friendly, spotless, comfy beds, amazing staff. In other words, don't bother looking anywhere else. If you are going to stay in this part of Montreal then stay here if you can. Fabulous in all respects.

The hotel is small and intimate. Very Clean and staff are very friendly and happy to assist at anytime of day. We had Room 7 which was a double bed room and well equipped for two couples or even a larger family. Nice fresh continental breakfast with lovely lady serving and taking orders. The Rooms were very clean and very...

A comfortable and well situated older hotel in a great location with easy access to all of Montreal. Across from the metro and within walking distance of the shops/cafes on Rue St Denis and Rue St Laurent. We also walked to Chinatown and Old Montreal (1 mi). Staff is warm and friendly. The rooms are cozy, welcoming and bright. The...

We stayed three nights during a frigid weekend in Montreal. This hotel, situated between Plateau Mont Royal and the Latin Quarter, is close to the metro but it is also easy to walk to many places around the city. Chateau de L'Argot had fantastic heat, a necessity when returning to our room during our stay. The staff was warm and...

This is a quaint older style hotel with chandelier lighting in rooms. Rooms are very well maintained and kept very clean. Bed was comfortable, though the mattress was a bit on the softer side. Bathroom was large with good water pressure and water temperature. Room was hot and it wasn't easy to control the heating temperature, but the windows opened...

This was my second stay at the Chateau de l'Argoat. The location of this place is just perfect. It's around 10 minutes walking from the bus station and not even 5 minutes to the subway. The room was very clean. The breakfast is a very pleasant (and filling) way to start your day with croissants, bagels, toasts, muffins, yogurts, orange...

We stayed here 3 nights to spend most days working and nights eating at some great restaurants. This hotel is close to a lot of great restaurants, we specifically picked this hotel based on its location to a few really good ones, and most places were 20 mins or less walking. The rooms are simple but comfortable with big bright...

Our home base for our weekend in Montreal was Chateau de L'Argoat, which is centrally situated between Plateau Mont Royal and Quartier Latin. The hotel is very walkable to several bars, restaurants and shopping. Additionally, it's close to a metro stop, which makes getting pretty much anywhere in the city a breeze. But what I loved most about this place...

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
