This was my first time in Montreal and I don't think I could have found a more convenient place at a decent price. Pros: - It's right next to the Sherbrooke Metro station, so traveling throughout the city is easy. - Free parking, which I could not find anywhere else that close to the city center. You do have to... More

Daily breakfast was lovely to get us off to a day of adventures and the waitress was wonderful. The rooms were more european than traditional hotels but could be closer to restaurants and evening bars.

Having never traveled to Montreal, I was concerned about our lodging arrangements. This great property turned out to be perfect for our visit, being within walking distance to fun restaurant choices and other points of interest. If you want to travel further afield, the Metro is across the street and very useful for getting around quickly, a great deal is... More

We were looking for a place to stay in Montreal as we were headed to see Adele in concert. The hotel prices were a bit too much for our budget so we looked at smaller, independent hotels and B&Bs. We found Hotel de l'Argoat online with good reviews and we were very pleased with our stay. The room had two... More

Pleasant small older hotel. Well maintained. Comfortable, but not fancy. Not for disabled or feeble folk--no elevator, with several floors. No bell service, or at least none offered to us. Handy to the Metro, with an entrance to the Sherbrooke station right across the street. Nice complimentary breakfast, but no meat or cheese. Easy walk to the nightlife, bars and... More

Has a BnB feel, amazing service and breakfast. Room was small but comfortable, free parking n walking distance to Sherbrooke station. Two blocks away from Rue St. Denis were all the great restaurants are. No elevators so please be prepared to walk up the stairs.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. We were welcomed by their team of helpful staff. Upon our early arrival we had parked on the street as there were no spots available. However, they kindly took our keys and moved our car as soon as a spot had freed. This allowed us to begin the touring of Montreal, worry-free... More

We stayed at this delightful hotel at the end of August. It was a heritage home, possibly that of a doctor or a lawyer at the turn of the 20th century. Our room was beautiful with all the comforts needed. Very quiet despite the fact that our room faced the busy Sherbrook Street. We were steps away from St. Denis... More

We stayed in many B & Bs in France, you could pick this place up and move it to France and it would fit right in. Smaller rooms and beds, clean, outdated TV. But you have your own bathroom. GReat front end staff, very helpful ! French breakfast, juice very good coffee and toast, croissants. Great location , free parking... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
