This hotel had just what we needed without frills like a fancy lobby or bar. Our room was of a decent size and had a kitchen with everything we needed to store and eat leftovers -- even make mac and cheese (don't judge). The hotel was in a perfect location. Around the corner from the Peel Metro stop and a...

We just spent a week at this hotel. The room was a good size with a full kitchen (aside from oven). The shower was large with plenty of hot water. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast is included and the spread is amazing. Vegetarians will be pleased with the selection as well. From eggs, egg whites, waffles, all kind of...

Stayed here last weekend. I was reluctant to stay because a few years back, I had a terrible experience with one of the managers at this same location. I am glad I gave it a second chance. We had a great stay. The rooms were clean and updated. Location was ideal and the price was very affordable and more than...

Overall the hotel does a great job, especially the staff. From the front desk who always appeared helpful, to the staff in the breakfast buffet who worked hard to keep the place clean, all were very courteous, albeit reserved. Lobby small but comfortable, and with 3 elevators it didn't take too much time to reach up to the 22 floor....

We stayed at the hotel, it was clean, good breakfast, good WiFi signal, good location (close to metro, to mount royal, to underground city entrance and other stores and restaurants). The room had a fully equipped kitchen. The hotel has a laundry room with washer and dryer. I would stay again in this hotel.

I picked the Rue Peel Marriott over the one in Lincoln due to the recent refurbushment. The hotel has a new feel about it, the rooms are large ( I had one of the apartment style with, kitchen area inc ) the beds were fantastic, deep and seemed to have memory foam top and pillows. There is no bar in...

This is a little place off the beaten path but still very close to everything. We walked to the university, walked downtown, shopping and much more. There are so many great places close to here. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I loved that there was a little kitchen. It made the stay very pleasant to not...

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel on business. Very conveniently located in Downtown, walking distance from St Catherine with all the shopping. Rooms are very clean and offer great value for money. Breakfast can become boring very quickly after only 2 nights, you feel like eating elsewhere. Other than this, I would recommend this place to...

Stayed here for 9 days in November/December. Fantastic location. It is across the street from the subway station, and very close to shopping, restaurants and bars. McGill University is just around the corner. It is also just a short walk to the base of Mont-Royale. The hotel staff were excellent and the room was perfect for us. Lots of space...

Although it only boasts the economy label of residence inn in my opinion it is better than the fancier chateau Champlain. Big rooms, newer building, free breakfast and some good restaurants within a minute walk (the pizza downstairs is decent). On the "can be improved side": how about some bottled water so guests don't have to drink from the tap...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
