The room is clean, the location is prefect. You just need to walk a few minute to get to the shopping mall. It is easy to find the hotel. There are a lot of restaurant nearby. The cafe downstairs is a good choice eating something

Let's start by saying, a private room with 2 beds, and private bathroom in the city centre for $100 + tax is a not a bad deal. The rooms are in the YWCA building, so not a real hotel per se, but you still have 24 hour reception, and the front doors are locked every night. No breakfast included, but... More

I'm surprised that I'm giving the hotel 3-stars. Originally, with the stress of delayed flights and missing connectors and not getting back to the hotel in time (we were busy trying to find hotels in Toronto for our delay), our reservation got canceled. But nevertheless, after much fussing with the night auditor giving us lectures, they managed to get us... More

I was very lucky to find this hotel. Location is perfect, room and bathroom facilities are great and reception staff very nice and helpful. I could not ask for more - during my next visit I will definitely choose the same place. Merci beaucoup et à la prochaine fois :-)

I stayed on the 7th floor with my daughter in a room with 2 double beds and private washroom. Clean and well maintained. Cable TV, fridge, hairdryer, shower. We stayed 3 nights for a total including tax of under 400 dollars. Close to shopping. Amazing value.

I stayed for 4 nights in this downtown located hotel which is in the YWCA building. It's great advantage is its budget price I had a single bed room with shared bathroom. The room has a fridge, tv, sink and free wifi. The shared bathrooms were never an issue and there was also a large communal kitchen area and also... More

We arrived in Montreal by train...this motel was close to the station...accessible to everywhere. It was newly renovated...clean and just perfect. The 6th floor is hostel accomodations but the 7th floor is motel rooms with private bathroom. The kitchen and laundry facilities on the 6th floor can be used by all guests.

Just returned from a 6 night stay. We were comfortable in our room (3 of us). The in-room fridge made life easier, and access to the kitchen and laundry at the auberge made our stay even better. The staff at the front desk were helpful in getting us where we wanted to go and making sure we had what we... More

The room we booked we thought we had to share a bathroom not the case we had a private bathroom in our room. It is very centrally located especially if you are attending anything at the bell centre. Very clean staff is extremely helpful love this place would definitely return. If you don't need anything fancy but want the amenities... More

I would echo most of the reviews in saying that the price is right. I paid $83 USD per night (room with ensuite bath) which not bad at all--especially since this hotel is downtown. I also booked close to the date of my stay (last-minute trip), so I really can't complain about the price. You do, however, get what you... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
