Stayed 3 nights at le jardin. We chose it for its position and after reading the reviews. Position was perfect- lively area, lots going on including the OUMF festival (fantastic); near the underground; easy walk to the old town. Was pleasantly surprised at how peaceful it was in the rooms considering the busy streets. Bathroom could probably benefit from an...

Dear Guest Thank you for this nice comment. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in general : location, peacefulness, lovely staff. We think we offer a decent (but not amazing you are right !) menu for an included breakfast (you can check the detailed breakfast menu on our official website). We offer filtered coffee in rooms and at breakfast....

I recently spent two nights at the Auberge le Jardin d'Antoine. I was staying in one of their queen suites, which was actually much more luxurious than I expected, complete with a whirlpool bath. The hotel itself was very clean, with a good WIFI connection and a nice choice for breakfast. While I was in Montreal I had my iPhone...

Our family of four stayed at Auberge le Jardin d'Antoine for three nights and were very pleased. The location couldn't be better -- very close to the Metro in a happening neighborhood. The suite was not fancy, but clean and quiet, and the kids loved the Jacuzzi bath. The highlight was the breakfast: warm croissants, scrambled eggs, bagels and muffins,...

If shiny modern is what you want then this is not for you as this place is like being a guest in a private home. The security on the front door is good seeing you are in a very lively area but inside the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. We had a queen suite and it was quite comfy...

Dear Guest Thank you for this nice comment. You are totally right we are not a modern-style boutique hotel! You described the atmosphere perfectly as most of our guest feel like they are at home in our small 25-rooms Inn classified 3 stars. We try with our numerous videos (only available on our official web site) and pictures to give...

We stayed for 3 nights from 21st July. We managed to park immediately outside for 15 minutes and then left the car in the nearby car park recommended by the hotel. Our room was up one flight of stairs, was large with a separate seating area and the bathroom was also a good size with separate whirlpool bath and shower....

We booked the suite & took a package that included the Nordic baths at the Scandinave Spa in Old Montreal. It made for a delightful weekend getaway. Our spa vouchers for a noon appointment (all arranged for us by the hotel) were ready for us when we arrived at the hotel around 10:45. Although our room wasn't ready (3:00 check-in),...

We stayed here two nights and I wish we could have stayed longer, Right on St. Denis, this little place is run by friendly and helpful people. We were about a 15 minute walk at the most from the waterfront and right near many cafes and restaurants. Our small but lovely room (with wood flooring) opened onto an open but...

We decided to go to Montreal at the last minute. We stopped at the tourist information plaza at the border crossing for help in finding a room. They said it was a very busy time because of several major events. They did locate a room at the Auberge le Jardin d'Antonie. What a pleasant find. The staff was very helpful...

This hotel is a terrific place. Small (maybe 25 rooms) with a wonderful staff, great location, If your goal is clean, quiet, helpful lodging, this meets those tests. One of the owners, Marc, even helped us with our too-much luggage. The breakfast offering was excellent, and the overall experience was 5 stars. Priced right.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.

“We stayed in one of the deluxe bedrooms which was very spacious, comfortable and in the back of the building so it was quiet. It felt like being in my own home. The bathroom was large, jacuzzi tub, nice water pressure in the shower, good lighting. Perfect in every way.”
