A business associate and I were here last week, amazing place. We were with 700 other folks and it was amazing that the meals were always first rate, which one would not expect for that many people, tasted like each one was made individually. Had a grat pool, my associated told me, I did not get in, located close to...

There were tons of shops here and so much to do, great food - and that's before even really leaving the hotel! The hotel inside was rather pretty and the room was spacious enough and comfortable. So close to everything!

We stayed at the Bonaventure in Montreal from May 2 - 4th, 2015. It is only approx 20 mins from the airport. Upon arrival you are greeted by a very friendly doorman. That speaks English as well as French. We checked in within minutes. We found our way to our room. It was spacious and clean. We had a view...

I was asked by a colleague where I was staying, and when I told them that the hotel Bonaventure used to be a Hilton, they made references to the Lubianka jail... It certainly holds no appeal from the outside, being of a 1960's brutalist design. However, once the lift deposits you at least 10 stories up and you enter the...

My friend and I planned a last minute trip to Montreal and this hotel had the best rates. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We ordered room service and the food was really good. Quite nice rooms with comfortable beds, not overly spacious rooms. Nice hot showers, room were kept up nicely. Walls between rooms are quite thin - you'll be able to hear your next door neighbors if they are talking loudly. Hotel staff all very kind and accommodating. Very central location in downtown.

We chose this hotel based on the proximity to the Metro. We found the staff from the Valet to the Concierges to be exceptionally helpful! The beds were gloriously comfortable (some of the best hotel beds we'd ever stayed in). The outdoor heated pool was a nice benefit, so be sure to bring your suit!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
