The hotel is in the perfect location - especially for those colder months where the underground access is ideal! The lobby is beautifully decorated. Really comfy beds but the bathroom could have been cleaner. Gym was functional too although I was disappointed I didn't get to try the swimming pool which only opened at 7 - not ideal for those...

Stayed here for 3 nights as a tourist and really enjoyed the staff, food, location and proximity to the Metro. Couldn't be more convenient or easy to navigate. Was surprised how much English was spoken. Made it easy to get directions and recommendations. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Although I've known the Intercontinental since the early 1990's, I only got to stay there for the first time from March 1-3, 2017 on a business trip. The staff and service is totally in line with Montreal's expected hospitality standards: warm, courteous and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a pleasant stay and experience. Rooms are...

This is a lovely modern hotel. The King bed rooms in the round tower are my favourite. They are spacious and have a huge bathroom and a living area. I've also stayed in a two double bed room and those are nicely appointed as well. The pool and fitness centre are very nice as well.

The Intercontinental in Montreal was nice enough standalone, but Michael Anderson at the front desk made my day. Although checking in is usually the appetizer, Michael was the entrée. He was a delight to talk to, and made us feel welcome and taken care of immediately. The room was comfortable, big, modern, and had sweeping views of the city. The...

I read a negative review and wondered why? The place is next to the old town so plenty to see. Right next to the metro so easy to get around. Linked to the underground city so no matter what the weather nothing stops. If you find hotel breakfast or lunch too expensive then go into the mall next door there...

Our family spent a long weekend at the InterContinental Montreal and would certainly return. The self park underground lot has a very low ceiling which caused damage to my roof racks and nobody warned me against entering. There is a better self parking lot the next block up to the left. The bell staff was very helpful with our luggage...

I have stayed at Intercontinental hotels around the world and this experience will likely cause me to avoid them going forward. Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
