This was the quick weekend get away. The location was perfect for us who like to walk everywhere; we can walk to Old Montreal, China Town, rue Catherine, Sherbrook etc..
We didn't dine here but the coffee place had one of the best coffee. It...More
Modern and recently renovated hotel which is pure luxury - staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were lovely and a nice view of the city. Overall highly recommended for a smart, modern city hotel...probably one of the nicest of all the Fairmont's I've stayed...More

Through my work, I probably stayed at every fairmont hotel in Canada at least twice. Given the hotels are in historic buildings, the rooms are fairly small, but comfortable. The staff are nice and friendly. The food on the other hand...terrible.

The Queen E is a first-class hotel — you can tell because, although the room rate I got was actually very reasonable, the prices for incidentals, and in the bars and restaurants, are eye-watering. What it turned out not to be was first-class comfortable. My...More
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young
professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
