I needed a hotel within distance to St.Luc and I was going to be staying a couple of days. Reading the reviews I wasn't sure what to make of it but had other relatives there and we decided we would all chance it. I'm giving the hotel a 3 out of 5 for a few reasons. In this day and... More

The stay was comfortable. I was disappointed with the add on facilities. Water was no provided, there was no locker facility, no fridge. It's an average hotel good for economy business stay. The place is centrally located in d middle of d town. It's neat n clean.

The hotel was very outdated. Torn wallpaper, etc but was very clea. The rooms were large. Was a 10-15 minute walk to old montreal, Palce D'arts and the Eaton Centre. Good location! Parking was tight only 17 spots in a small garage (unless they off additional offsite parking?)

The hotel is a perfect location for the 747 airport bus and is in a good spot for the cities sights. However the rooms are a little small and cramped with too much furniture (we put a chair in the wardrobe to make a bit more room!) The room had two small double beds which would be better with one... We stayed here Sept 2016. Booked two nights to see if the hotel was near the shops. A bit of a walk downtown but we like to walk. Booked another two nights. We have travelled the world for at least 20yrs. And found this hotel acceptable. The staff are friendly. We find with the language barrier if you smile and laugh... More

This is the old days inn downtown Montreal, still have the sign outline on the roof and the wifi. A great example of the deceitful French Canadian economy. The pictures on the website and all major booking sites are vastly over exaggerated and show the most recently renovated rooms only. Not all of which are anywhere close to this standard.... More

I booked a single night at Chrome with a late arrival. The desk staff are friendly, it's a great location, the room was spacious. It was actually more like a suite. The bedroom had sliding door to separate it from the sitting my area that had a sofa and tv.. They have done some upgrades in the bathroom. The room... More

The manager is appalling & has the worst customer service I've ever seen. Not willing to help his guests at all. They couldn't find our booking & had no rooms available. We sat in reception for over 5 hrs while they past the blame with the website we booked on. Then magically 3 rooms became available in the "fully booked"... More

Recently had the misfortune of staying in this rundown hovel. Booked through a 3rd party website and despite having confirmation emails the hotel was fully booked. The receptionist tried to resolve it with the booking company but it soon turned into a game of passing the book. Finally after more than 5 hours on the phone being passed from pillar... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
