the probability of interfacing a problem with the agent is high. rude enough to enter your apartment without calling you first. We were so shocked by the agent's attitude that we could not respond or complain in anyway. He has serious psychological problems which will be your problem. bed bugs have been reported. The pool and Jim is just for showing to new comers. it is always out of order.

The rooms are super noisy. No noise isolation between rooms and construction keeps going all the day. Wall trembles. Don't live here. They don't care if you can live in your noisy room or not. All they want is to renovate and to raise how much you pay them.

I am a long-term user of Tripadvisor and a tenant of this building. To cover their poor occupancy rate due to the terrible building quality and poor-quality of service, they turned some units into AirBnb for daily rent.

As a tenant who was unfortunately trapped by their FAKE hospitality, I will share the real experience of living here:

1. INTERNALLY NOISY. There is no sound isolation so you basically can hear any sound your neighbors are making. Note, not only neighbors next door, but neighbors above the cross the hall. Your neighbors hear what you are doing too of course.

2. EXTERNALLY NOISY. The building is close to the street. Even you live on 27th floor as me, you still hear loud noise from the street even with windows closed. So, in a hot summer with no air conditioner, you will have to open the window and hence do not expect to have a good sleep even for a night.

3. SERVICE. I will endorse the other comment about their service. And here is a detail example. Many tenants experienced the same as I did. And of course we have contacted the office to at least solve the internal noise. But their response is guaranteed to be: ask their security to have a walk around the floors to pretend they are trying to identify the source of the noise, then no further step. If you bring this issue to their desk, several of them will tell you the noise level is "acceptable" based on all of them. If you are smart, this example is enough to let you know what you will get when you have other complaints.

4. FACILITIES. Definitely dirty. The machines in the laundry room are never cleaned. And sometimes you even find some dirt from the previous users. The pool and the sauna are smelly. Do you really dear to touch them? That is why they have so many rooms but the facilities are never busy. (Or maybe not even enough tenants to make the facilities occupied?)

5. ELEVATOR. The elevator is super old and small. During my rental period, there were 3 maintenance. One elevator allows for 3 people maximal. When maintenance in progress, there will be more than 10 minutes waiting time. The longest waiting time is 35 minutes for me. I've heard complaint of longer waiting time.

6. SECURITY. There is security system in place. However, there is only 1 security guy in this building and if he is away, nobody is really watching. I've seen too many people wandering around with no key then following somebody to enter the building. Thus, your door is basically open to the street.

7. POWER. There are many construction nearby (added to the external noise source). And also old commercial buildings use lots of electricity. So you may experience unnoticed outage of power occasionally. I experienced 3 times in 2020, and one during the cold winter when you need heating.

In summary, Montreal is a beautiful city with many accommodation options. Do not fall in the trap of this 2250 Guy building. Not worthy to ruin your impression on Montreal.

i lived at this hotel for a month and a half before moving into our own place in montreal. the great thing about this hotel is that the location is great and you are downtown right by concordia univeristy and by rue st catherine and the metro.

our room had a kitchenette where we'd be able to cook our meals. we had a cleaning service come once a week. there is also a pool and sauna, but we didnt end up using either.

the service was great, every time to needed something they were quick to help us out. this place is good for longterm stays in montreal.

Horrible. Where should I start? I'm writing this review out of pure honesty and frustration. Don't waste your time here, don't live here, and here's why:

I've been living here for three years and this has been my experience:

1) Extremely UNSATISFACTORY conditions of living. After a water accident that occurred in the building, the elevators have been under "maintenance" and NON-FUNCTIONAL for more than 2 MONTHS! This building has 33 floors, a line fills up in front of the elevators when you try to get to work or back home because only 1 elevator works out of 3. RIDICULOUS, and I'm as patient as they get. What's worse is that for this issue to get resolved, the management wants us (the tenants) to contact CAPREIT ourselves in Toronto and want a GROUP of e-mails so that it gets done. This is so simple to get fixed, and is just a lack of professionalism from the management. We don't live here for free!

2) The ROOFTOP has NEVER BEEN ACCESSIBLE in these past 3 years!!! It has been under renovation and we've been told that It would be finished by LAST SUMMER. Plain dishonesty and disrespect, If I could give 0 stars I would.

3) NOISY NOISY NOISY, the other reviewers aren't kidding! The building has been "under renovation" for YEARS. I have become best friends with my ear plugs because you will hear HIGH-PICTHED noise from the water running in the apartment above or under you. You will hear DRILLING at the worst times throughout the day and just as soon as you think its over, there will be more a week later, a month later etc.

4) Despite all of this, your windows will NEVER be cleaned from the outside ever. And you can't even clean them yourselves (it's too dangerous and I highly do not recommend it).

5) If you have ANY problem and you see the management, they will come up with a way to not make it their responsibility. Nothing ever gets done.

6) The water can suddenly stop working, WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. Sometimes the heating of the water will fail too.

You have a pool and a gym inside. Security guard 24h, live-in concierge, garage. Located in 1-minute walk from metro Guy-Concordia (2 exits). Very close (1-minute walk) from Concordia University, John Molson Business School, buses 55, 74, 165, restaurants, shops, stores.

The building is located in the heart of downtown but is located in a calm area. Ideal for students and young professionals.
