This hotel is weird. All of the rooms are individually owned. So when you stay here the quality of the room you have is based on the money they owner has spent. We stayed in a suite. The space itself was very large. It had a lovely patio overlooking the church. The bed was terrible and sagging in the middle....

I stayed here for a weekend and I was very happy with the hotel! I had a suite with an electric fireplace and the second room had a Murphy Bed and a pull out couch!! The espresso maker in the room was great and the Occitane products in the bathroom were a welcome change from the usual products! The location...

Perfect location in Old Montreal. Rooms were perfect. We booked the "basic" room and it was huge. We travelled as a family and got adjoining rooms. Every night staff left bottled water as part of turn down service. Refilled Nespresso pods every night. Rooms include a galley kitchen. Staff was extremely polite and helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights in early January and felt we hit the jackpot with this hotel choice! Huge, spacious rooms that worked well for a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. Modern bathroom. The kitchen, tea kettle and bottled water were a bonus. Staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to engage with us. Great...

I just returned from a stay at Le Saint-Sulpice where I and my family stayed for four nights. Our regular hotel, nearby, was full, and I thought to give this hotel, which seemed equivalent a try. We stayed in a Queen Suite and I was immediately struck by the odd assortment of furniture in the room, the moderate maintenance of...

This hotel is extremely well located in the vieux port of Montreal, it's walking distance to several attractions. It's not too close to any subway, but nothing in the old port is. The suite was spacious, with an enclosed bedroom, kitchenette, and large living room. Everything was in good shape and working well. The amenities were nice, the coffee maker...

We stayed 4 nights over Christmas/New Year and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location is wonderful just adjacent to Notre Dame with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious as it had a separate bedroom/living area and a small kitchenette. The bath products smell heavenly! Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly....

Stayed two nights during the Xmas holiday week. The hotel is in a great location if you want to be in the Old City or downtown. The room/suite was larger and very nicely set up and well kept. We had a quite room in the back. The location is central to all the downtown places, for us it was an...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
