Location was the only thing I liked about this place as it was very central and accessible to different attractions that we either walked to, or paid $6-7 for uber. Very Small Space for the advertised superior queen; Pictures look very different from actual property, the room we stayed in was across the street from the actual hotel in another...

Hello Amir T. Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read your stay did not live up to your expectations. I think some information wasn't properly conveyed to you that would have resolved a lot of your issues. We have superior queen rooms in our main building and our annex but because of the nature of the hotel,...

If you're into walking up stairs, again and again, then this hotel is for you. Front steps to get in. Steps on old, worn carpeting to your room (if you're not one of the lucky ones to get a room on the first floor), then, we opened the door to our room et voila! Yet another set of winding steps...

Note - Our room was right across from the check in desk, which was ok. There wasn't a lot of noise. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. I like the feel of the place, but something just felt off. People would smoke on the porch and our AC would bring that smell right in. (We quit smoking...

The pros of this hotel is the room is renovated and clean. However the cons of this hotel are, we were told incorrect information when checking in regarding where to park. The check in clerk said to park down along the street where the Hotel de Paris Annex building was (secondary building where our room was located). Lo and behold...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We had the "presidential suite". It was a very large and spacious room. However there was only one air conditioner for the entire suite which was not enough to cool the room down. We did not get a free breakfast as it stated on their website- as the cost was $5.00 per...

This review is based on a 3-night stay in the main building. We booked through Hotwire and paid about $215 for 3 nights. There was AC and free wifi, but no elevator. We were able to haul our luggage up to the 4th floor without too much difficulty, but we're also young and in pretty good shape. It might not...

We stayed in the annex across the street, which was lovely. The room is clean, bed is comfy and the location is great, close to sainte catherine. As stated by others, parking can be a bit hit and miss and there are no stairs in the annex so the third floor was a little challenging with luggage...but built up leg...

The building itself is beautiful, very historic. We ended up with the "luxury room" which was a big one in front of the building across the street from reception. Very clean as well. Only issue is it was really loud for us when people were coming in and out, as well as running the pipes upstairs. Perhaps recommend a sign...

Clean and comfortable! Not luxury but met our needs. No elevator and only 3 free parking spots. Reasonable price for good location. If you can park and walk, it is ideal. Latin area with good restaurants is only a few blocks away!

This is a beautiful place. We stayed in the Annex across the street from the main building. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Minor drawbacks would be that there is no lift in the Annex and there is no designated parking, so you have to find a spot on the...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
