My husband and I just came back from our babymoon in Montreal. We stayed in the loft apartments which were two blocks from the actual hotel. I was a bit concerned about this but the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating for anything that we needed. I also was concerned about the stairs but they were no big deal...

Located in a little side street, unfortunately very steep staircase, no elevator. Hotel staff gives a hand. Breakfast not included, we highly reconend 'le petite dep', a beautifully arranged bakery store, even gluten free

My wife and I just stayed at the Lofts du Vieux Port for Labor Day weekend. We booked the hotel last minute and we couldn't be happier that we did! After a 6 hour drive we arrived around 10pm and we greeted outside by the bell hop who was very friendly and helpful. He told us to leave the car...

This was my best experience in Montreal. I normally stay at Hotel Gault or Hotel St. Paul. It was a struggle to find accomodations this time if year with most hotels fully booked and inflated prices. I came across the lofts and based on some other reviews on tripadvisor tdecided to give it a try. It was the best decision...

late review-- we stayed here around Feb. 2016 (as part of my Asia Miles rewards). We had a very pleasant stay, although it took us a while for our room to be ready, when we entered the loft it took our breath away. Everything you need is in the room, felt like home away from home. Stayed in room 605 and what a great room it is. Little kitchen, nice bathrooms, living room, dinning room and two bedrooms. Do wish the Ac was more powerful but I like it really cold. Couldn't hear any noise outside but on the 5th floor. No elevator at all so have good legs and a love for exercise.

My husband and I had a great stay here last week. The loft was spacious and up to date in a great location. In a separate building from the main hotel but concierge was at our service whenever we needed anything. Looking forward to going back next summer!

Stayed here on business (actually got a deal through Hotels.com) and didn't know what to expect really. What an amazing surprise! A real gem in the Old Port of MTL. Was given a loft/suite which was spacious and absolutely gorgeous in an adjacent building (not mobility-limited friendly). The room was modern, with wood panelling and brick walls. Bed was uber-comfortable...

This was the perfect location to spend a long weekend in the Old Port of Montreal. Everything we did was in walking distance. The loft (or studio apartment) was comfortable, and has a full kitchen. Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
