The location of this hotel is on a busy street, but very close to China Town food street and about a 10-15 minute walk to Old Montreal. The room was quite spacious with a kitchenett. The room interior is a bit out dated but overall nice and clean. Breakfast selection was limited, but fruits like apples and bananas are provided.

This is a really nice hotel. Clean, perfect location and they include breakfast. I stayed in a studio room which has a kitchenette so I was able to bring home dinner. At the front desk they have utensils. The staff was great and a short walk to the train station. On the bus route from the airport. Perfect!

We we are first-time visitors to Montreal and chose Hotel Faubourg because of its location primarily. It is not upscale, but the large room had a kitchen - full size fridge, Keurig and microwave. The small den had a large flat-screen tv, and the bedroom had a large tv, too. The king bed was very comfortable with very nice linens....

Stayed for 2 nights during a weekend in Montreal. Check in was ok. The hotel was ok. Nothing to shout about. There was a musty scent in the room. Had to go purchase scented candles. The living room and kichenette were both a welcomed surprise. Just that smell was hard to get rid of. Smelled like everything was cleaned with...

This place is located on a very busy road so the traffic fumes and noise make it unpleasant. The walk to the old town takes about 10 minutes. The hotel has no atmosphere. Check in was ok, we were not made to feel particularly welcome. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. There is a kitchen in the...

I like the room since it was a mini large with a kitchenette even though they didn't, have any dishes or utensils. The bathroom shower rod is falling so someone was hanged onto it when getting out of the shower, Overall while the room was clean and spacious, there were a number of stains on the sofa and on the...

Glad I had booked another hotel in Montreal for our longer stay and only one night here on route to Calgary. They charge 24 CAD plus tax for garage parking per night. The hotel needs work. Our 2 bedroom suite was below expectations. There are only two lifts for the whole building - not enough as only one goes to...

Rooms have a kitchenette so feels a little more like a studio than a hotel room. Furnishings were nice, but certainly not upscale. Staff was very friendly and helpful and I did appreciate the complimentary breakfast. I do wish the kitchen had some glassware and utensils but these are available on request. Central location.

Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights for our honeymoon. We got a really good deal from Booking.com. The room was quite large with 1 King bed and 1 sofa bed on high floor. Front desk staff was friendly and helpfull. Would consider to stay here again as it is near China town - a plus for us !

Warm and helpful front desk, clean and fully stocked rooms (I could have made my own meals there if it hadn't been so close to Chinatown and Quartier des Spectacles), with an upscale feel that didn't cost too much. Breakfast was enjoyable and I never had to take the Metro or bus because all of central Montreal was a walk...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
