I was disappointed in my stay at the Le Meridian. In fairness it could be good for some people but it did not meet my expectations. The hotel is small with very few amenities that you might expect from a upper level Starwood hotel. There is only one restaurant, no club room, the fitness center is tiny, there is no...

The hotel is back on sherbrooke west, so its a good 30-35 min walk to the bell centre. Not too far from st. Catherine though. Parking in this area is awful but the hotel offers valet service for $27/night so in my opinion that's worth it. The layout of this hotel is a bit strange but the rooms were fairly...

We were upgraded as I'm 2nd tier Starwood level. Room is large. The king bed is comfy. We had a fridge. Unlike some of the reviews, our bathroom was quite adequate in size. Because it's an older hotel that has been nicely renovated, there's a tub. Newer hotels are going the way of showers with minimal or no lips. I...

I stay at the Le Meridien frequently as it is our corporate hotel while in Montreal. The hotel has recently gone through renovations, and is gorgeous now. They have different size rooms which give you options based on what you are looking for. The corner junior suite is my preferred room due to the size, and the view from wrap...

Stayed one night early November. Check-in was great, and first impressions of the room was awesome - bright rooms, nicely decorated. Then it went downhill. The thing that bothered me the most was the bathroom. It was insanely small (If you came out of the shower you were pretty much guaranteed to either touch the door or the toilet). And...

Well situated and recently renovated. Rooms are just adequate, nothing fancy, and baths are small. As another reviewer pointed out there are no handrails in the shower (which is in the tub) making it somewhat difficult for the partially disabled like me. I guess I'll sit on the edge of the tub tomorrow morning and take it from there. No...

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback on your stay. We are in the process on establishing a redesign for out guestroom bathrooms and will include a handrail. If you do return to our property, we would be more than happy to provide you with our accessible room; which may be reserved upon...

It was my first time back in a couple of years and I love the renovations in the lobby and the rooms. Everything feels a lot more spacious now and modern. Love that the signature scent in the elevator is still there. Brought nice memories back.

Stayed at this hotel twice. first time in end of april/beg of may when this hotel was under renovations. Second time we stayed was in august. What a difference in the lobby! loved how beautiful it was! the rooms are very nice. the bathroom a little small but there is decent counter space...slightly disappointed that there was no coffeemaker in...

Ok decent hotel a few blocks from the action but friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms. I would stay here again. If you like hotels a little smaller and a little more peaceful then this may be for you.

Various details of design/ fittings/ finishes/ accessories attracted us as being neat/ different BUT... drawbacks we hit: - In our room (a junior suite), be prepared to get down on your knees to operate the room safe as it is conveniently (not) located about 6" above ground level. For some, no problem, but at our age and with our arthritics,...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
