The property is as advertised. It is extremely clean. I stayed in the smallest room with joint bathroom as I was alone and only there of one night on business down the street. The room was perfect for my stay and quality price is excellent. There is free wifi, televison with lots of channels and option to cast. The breakfast was tremendous with freshly baked croissants, homemade yogourt, jams, raw honey, maple syrup, good coffee, juice, fruit, eggs and bacon and more. Parking is a bonus, located in the secured private courtyard and really worth it for $20. Keyless access to room and parking via a code is a plus. The owner is very friendly and caring while respectful of the guest's independence. I am really glad I discovered this bed and breakfast. I definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful B&B. Sylvain and Philippe were very welcoming and they made the best breakfast we had on our trip in Canada. Everything was homemade and there was a lot of choice. The room was very nice and clean, it even had a ceiling fan and airco. The location is very close to the metro and centrally in Montréal. Highly recommended!

My wife and I made a six-day trip to Montreal and we are both so happy that we choose to stay at the B&B du Village. . Self-check-in was a breeze. The room was wonderful; good sized and recently remodeled. The shower was fabulous. And the location was great. Just one block up is the main drag with tons of shopping, entertainment, eating options, and a metro stop. But all of that is secondary to our hosts, Sylvain and Darren. They couldn't have been more welcoming. They were friendly, accommodating, and made us feel like family immediately. Every morning is a homemade breakfast with yogurt, berries, fruit, granola, eggs, croissants, bread pudding, and more that I'm sure I forgot. Talking with Sylvain and Darren, as well of the other guests was always a great way to start the day. They are incredibly interesting and they love their city and are happy to provide ideas about things to see and do. The other guests were Americans who had retired to France, several from Belgium, a scientist. The point being, BBV attracts a wonderful clientele that are fascinating to dine with. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Sylvain and Darren and their wonderful B&B. Next time we are in Montreal we will certainly stay here again.

Glad we chose this place for our brief stop in Montreal on our Canadian Adventure Had a lovely large room/suite set separately at the back of the property. It felt like being at Barbary Lane in Tales of the City Sylvian and Phillipe were both very friendly and accommodating allowing early check in and keeping Luggage We were not quite prepared For French Canada and we had to break down barriers at the large well stocked breakfast table! Its in a great location. Interesting to explore St Catherine St which reminds me if the gay scene of yesteryear and is a bit edgy! Loved their recommendation of the local cuisine at the Restaurant called O’Thyme round the corner

I had the great fortune of staying at the BBV while in Montreal for a conference. My choice of this property was based on: the website, the communications, the location and appearance of the property and amenities. This was all measurable and quantifiable. The magical part was, upon stepping up to the property, the kind and warm welcome which I received. Philippe and Nicolas are young, exuberant, and enthusiastic inn keepers who always made me feel as though I was the most important part of their day. The "petit dejeuner" was not quite petit. When I roused from my slumber, I could enjoy such a wonderful and amazing breakfast variety - including but not limited to: scrumptious baked goods, the freshest fruits, ON PREMISES made yogurt, and the most delicious and satisfying coffee! The beauty of breakfast was not only in the selection of food and beverage, but also in the beautifully set table and comfort of the room. I really felt as though I was a VIP. The room was VERY clean, and tidy. The room which I booked had a private bath facility - which is important to me. The bathroom was immaculately clean (almost put my own housekeeping to shame) and well stocked with what I needed for my stay. I was so happy to have a room on the first floor - a great plus for me - as I have some mobility issues. Even though the room was street side with a large window, the very heavy draperies allowed me to sleep late as I chose or to take a daytime rest as needed. Also - there was no sound bleed from anywhere. I could not hear any street noise, nor did I hear any noise from inside the house... For a while - I thought I was the only guest on the property (I was not). The location is wonderful. Just a stumble from Rue Ste Catherine. An easy walk took me to public transit, events, shopping, and restaurants. And now - a quick note on Philippe and Nicolas. They are wonderful gentlemen, who exemplify all the best qualities that an innkeeper should possess. Being family guys, I had the wonderful experience of meeting their two lovely daughters. Just so sweet - a wonderful part of the experience for me. Now - the dog.... for me, a huge plus! I was charmed and entertained by the sweet Slobie. I really felt "at home" at the BBV - without having to do the chores! I am very much looking forward to a return visit in my future. Now - I will say here - my visit was quite a while ago - I don't know why the review which I had previously written did not get posted. May I suggest that you, with that information, qualify my effusive and superlative review of this property. The effect which my stay at the BBV had on me is still very fresh in my memory, even though quite a bit removed from my actual stay. If you are considering a visit to beautiful Montreal, do yourself the favor of booking a room with Philippe and Nicolas at the beautiful Bed & Breakfast du Village. You will be glad you did.

Hosts were lovely, place was amazing. Location is superb! The stand out is the hosts who look after you with their hand made goods and cooking for breakfast (all dietary requirements catered for) and give you a wealth of information. I had a good chat with Sylvain after the other equally happy guests left breakfast (he encourages us to eat together, but optional) and I still chat to him post-travels! The place has smart locks so no worries if you lost your key fob, and it is tucked away from the Main Street that is also a completely LGBT+ friendly and safe neighbourhood. The metro is easy and fast from the centre of town and good connections to the bus via the 747 shuttle.

Went to Montreal from July 7th to the 11th for a wedding and stayed with a friend and we spent all four nights at BBV. It was amazing from day one. Room was incredibly comfortable, I'm this close to emailing them and asking what pillows and bed brand they use because I've never had a better night's sleep. When I got back home and woke up in my own bed, it was just not the same. My friend and I were worried other guests would hear us coming back late at night, but no one heard a thing and we didn't have to worry about waking others up or vice versa. The upstairs patio was amazing to relax on after a day of exploring and walking around. Whether we came back at noon or at two in the morning, it was our favorite place to hang out before heading back to our room. Darren & Sylvain greeted us each morning offering tea or coffee, or if we wanted them to make us eggs or toast. They were sweet and personable, sharing fun facts about the city and talking story about current events in Montreal, good and bad, which was really appreciated being able to hear the great stuff and the truths about the city. Being able to sit down in the morning and talk with others guests also made the experience more enjoyable hearing recommendations not just from our hosts but others visiting the city. I also can't just go to the grocery store and buy croissants now after eating those at BBV every morning. Their homemade yogurt, granola and bread pudding were delicious, I ate multiple jars of yogurt each morning and wished I could just take it all with me back home. They always made sure we had enough to eat in the morning, and we were able to take up food to our room if we didn't want to sit downstairs, and also gave us glass bottles of water to take up to our room. They offered umbrellas at the front entrance that you could take as you needed and they came in very handy our second to last day when the weather was cloudy and drizzling. We also asked Darren one morning if we would be able to use their washer and dryer whenever it was available to do our laundry and he told us just to put all our stuff in a basket, let him know what was okay to dry or what we needed separated, when we needed our clothes by, and he would take care of it. My friend and I left for a couple hours and when we came back he had already washed and dried our clothes and left the clean clothes in our room for us, we were so thankful for that. My friend and I also loved the area around BBV. Traveling as two women we felt safe and comfortable not only in BBV but the community around us even when walking around late at night around the neighborhood. We were bragging about this place to our other friends who chose to stay in one of the larger hotels and we were really glad we ended up choosing this place instead. It made our experience in Montreal even greater and I think anyone that stays here will have a great time.
