We stayed 3 nights at the Auberge Le Pomerol. Room was lovely, clean and quiet. The staff was fantastic. They were so helpful and pleasant. Customer service at its best. Convenient location for walking to many locations. The breakfast basket was a nice treat every...More
Like others, we enjoyed many aspects of this hotel. The staff are the hotel's greatest asset- they are friendly, helpful and very hospitable. The breakfast and snacks provided in the kitchen are superb, however our concerns centre around the room. The Superior room is the...More
This cozy spot is similar to a BnB and very "home-like", the location is convenient if you like walking (St Denis close by). But the best reason i recommend is truly because of the exception customer service!! Chantal at the front desk is extremely friendly!!...More
I'm writing this right before leaving the hotel. We stayed two nights and booked a regular room with a queen size bed. We got room no. 206 which at first appeared pretty small but it's actually a decent size but in a more rectangular layout....More
We booked the superior room with the queen size bed at the Auberge Le Pomerol. Located on the 2nd floor the room included the jacuzzi tub. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and room was quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast basket that was hung...More
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.

The six of us had a total of 4 rooms. All rooms had teensy-tiny bathrooms, even by hotel standards. No space for toiletries at all. The rooms were minuscule and the double room on the lower ground floor (the other rooms we had were on various upper floors) HAD NO WINDOW! The website doesn't mention that tidbit at all..
The hotel is centrally located but it's next to the gay village and gets noisy on weekends when party folk are around. No bar or lounge, but there is a tiny breakfast room where you can take the little breakfast basket they hang on your door. That was just weird.
The rooms were ok, a bit old-fashioned but clean and the beds are confortable. But space is at a premium. An OK hotel for just a night downtown but one to avoid for a longer stay or if you are on a business trip.
Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip to this great city!
