We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at À la Carte. Petra and Daniel are wonderful hosts and our fellow guests were very pleasant. Daniel's breakfasts were almost too good--in order to take advantage of all the good pastries in Montréal we had a second breakfast in lieu of lunch each day. Although the neighborhood is a bit out of the way,...

And, of course, that is an understatement! We spent three days/nights at Daniel, Petra, and Monsieur Petit's "palace" and couldn't have been more pleased by...well, everything! From the initial greeting (enhanced by a very enthusiastic dog!) to the minute we departed, their hospitality and advice was top notch. First, both "B"s earned top grades - the downstairs suite we stayed...

This is the most delightful B&B and we were warmly greeted on arrival by Daniel, Petra and Monsieur Petit! We knew we had found the best possible place to stay, when I was poured a pint of G&T by our host! Our room was very comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were warm and friendly and made us...

Lets begin with Monsieur Petit, who is first to greet you. He is the friendliest little dog and will make you smile every time you see him. He obviously gets his super friendly personality from his owners, Petra and Daniel, who at the end of the four days we stayed there were like family to us. My wife, daughter and...

This lovely bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations! We are a family with 2 teenage sons so booked the upstairs apartment. It was lovely! Extremely clean and comfortable. Daniel and Petra provide everything you could ask for and go far and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The residential neighborhood has good restaurants, groceries, wine stores as well as easy...

A charming typical Montreal house, with comfortable, spacious accommodations. We rented the upstairs self-catering apartment for three nights. Petra and Daniel took excellent care of us. Of particular note, Petra gave us a complete (and very much appreciated) briefing on everything we needed to know about Montreal, from how to get around to places to visit, to restaurant recommendations. All...

We stayed here in June and are so glad we did! Our first-floor room was spacious and spotless and the breakfasts were excellent. It's lovely that our hosts, Daniel and Petra, joined us for breakfast and we really enjoyed their company and conversation. Both were very generous with their time--Daniel drove us to the metro stop one morning and Petra...

My fiancée and I had two wonderful days in Montreal. But the stay in A la carte BnB made it even better. Petra and Daniel were the best hosts you can imagine. It started at the beginning with a brilliant mail communication so we could perfectly find the house (about 20 minutes from Berri UQAM) and continued with a warm...

We have stayed in many B&B's over the years and we can honestly say that A La Carte is the absolute best B&B experience we have ever had! The owners, Daniel and Petra, are excellent at what they do. In a world where people are often rushed and feel the need to constantly multi-task, Daniel and Petra take the time...

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
