This is no longer a B&B, but a full house to use. We stayed here with several adults. It was the perfect place! Two metro stations within a block or two. The IGA also a block or two away. And best of all, the Atwater Market also within walking distance. We were greeted by Dave and given a very good...

I have stayed with David & Dorothy many times & have enjoyed their company every time. It's close enough to the Metro to hop on the subway & travel downtown or jump in my car & take the 720 into the West Island . I would recommend D&D's anytime !! :)

5 of us girls stayed at D&D's B&B, but we took the whole place as a "vacation home" instead of individual rooms with breakfast. That being said, we wouldn't have had it any other way! Our group was there for 5 nights, but I was personally there for 3 nights. Dorothy gave a great "orientation", and we had free run...

D&D's B&B has finally closed it's doors. We are no longer accepting reservtions for B&B guests. After 7 wonderful years as B&B hosts, wonderful memories, fabulous guests, and great friendships have evolved. Thank you to all that have visited our home. Take care! Cheers, David and Dorothy

D and D's is a beautiful bed and breakfast in Montreal. Although it is more expensive than we are used to (compare France!), we had an impeccable stay. and it costs much less than a good Montreal hotel! Points to consider: the superb breakfast, friendly welcome, beautiful terrace/deck (perfect for sitting out in the evening), fine use of plants and...

Ditto on all the great reviews. My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay. A charming home with delightful hosts. A special shout out to Helen, Dorothy's assistant.

We had a really lovely time at this B&B. It is a little bit outside of the city but if you buy a tourist three day pass you can travel everywhere around Montreal for $17 by Metro (super deal). 5 minute walk to the station. Its allows you to see much more of the city instead of the usual touristy...

Our stay at D&D was great! No complaints at all. Location was ideal- so close to the train station. Note we are not French Speaking which was potentially a troublesome issue. No worries, this is an English speaking Inn in the English speaking part of town. This is a fantastic deal for what you pay!

This was our first experience at a B&B.We stayed from Sept.25 to Oct.1 and had booked a year ahead so we would be sure to have a place to stay for President's Cup Golf week.We chose this from the reviews here which mostly were very positive. We wanted a very relaxed, comfortable "home away from home" feeling,a lovely bedroom to get a...

My boyfriend an I spent our 1 year anniversary at this very cozy B&B. I have never been to a B&B before, so this was my first experience and it was great! The hosts were very warm and welcoming and helped us by directing us around the city. Although the B&B was not right in the middle of downtown, it...

We just returned from 4 days and 3 nights in Montreal where we stayed at D&D's. Everything was perfect - just as described by the many TripAdvisor members before us. I was originally going to book a place in the heart of Old Montreal, but when I found D&D's online, the reviews convinced me that I had to go there...

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
