Worst accommodation experience I've had. Front desk extremely rude, when we walked in another patron was giving the lady and earful. We booked online and arrived to a stuffy, smelly room with no windows that open. Insects crawling around. Enough said - save your money and your headaches - the sign behind the counter that says 'no refunds' should say...

We booked this hotel through Priceline going by the pictures & reviews. Absolutely appalled when we got there. The lady at the front desk was less than friendly. We found out there was no elevator for people like me who are handicapped with Asthma & a bad hip. We finally go to our rooms, my closet is nicer & larger....

A lovey little place. The rooms are very modest, and quaint, but the price is extremely good for families. The foyer and restaurant are very warm, homely and well decorated. But the very best thing about this place is the staff, who are all so warm and lovely, and go out of their way to be welcoming and warm, and...

Worst Place ever- SCAMMED US- wanted a room for my wife and I and they made me pay in advance... said they gave me a suite... turned out it was a 4 story walk up - no elevator- and the bed was a tiny single in a tiny room and dirty- certainly not big enough for 2 ...they refused to...

This is listed as a two star so I don't know why people are complaining about two flights of stairs or would stay here on a business trip...lower your expectations for a 2 star. We had a pleasant stay on the 3rd floor (yes, three flights). This is perfect if you just need somewhere to crash. No, I wouldn't sped...

Rooms were clean. The bed was very uncomfortable. We did not know that we would have to carry all our suitcases up two flights of stairs. Attached restaurant served a decent breakfast. The staff deserves 5 stars.

By the time I got to the door, my phone was about to die. I tried the door, it was locked, and nobody was inside. After an hour and a half of sitting outside in near-freezing temperatures, I was finally able to get enough of a charge to call the emergency number they had posted on the door. I've stayed...

Never in my life I have stayed in a hotel worse than this one. I stayed there for 5 nights at 150 dollars a night and my trip was for business. I am going to list down my reasons 1. Rooms are awfully small and outdated. And doesn't look anything like the pictures the show. I stayed in a standard...

Business trip, 2 nights at Montreal. If you are planning to visit montreal, pick another Hotel, the only good thing about this hotel is the location. The service is not good, the breakfast is expensive, there is no Wi Fi on the rooms, no elevators and they will charge you even if you need to leave your bags for a...

The entrance and small lobby of the Hotel Champs du Mars are very quaint in the genre of European Old Town lodging. The reception staff was most pleasant and helpful, and the check-in process was very efficient. The evening meal aroma drifting in from the adjoining restaurant made the lobby feel like grandma's living room. Very pleasant.. You are provided...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
