A true WOW experience in every sense! When we pulled up and saw the imposing set of stairs up to the front door I was VERY happy to learn that we had booked the Garden Suite which was in the adjoining building and down a...More
Our stay here was really nice. The room and house was fantastic. We especially enjoyed reading the journal's of the young girl who lived there in the 1800s.
The only weird thing was how nonchalant the owners were. They were friendly, but not super warm...More
This B&B is well run and we will stay there again if ever in Montreal. Denis and Michelle treat their guests like family. We stayed from Friday to Monday enough time to see Montreal and escape to see the Old City of Quebec. The interior...More

The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and
exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.

We walked everywhere! We paid extra to park our car in back of the house which is worth it, and did not use our car at all. Good restaurants are one block over on St. Denis. It took about 30 minutes at most to walk to Mount Royal, which we did in the morning, then went to the Beaux Arts Museum to see the Pompeii exhibit before going to dinner. It was only a 20 minute walk to Old Montreal and the Cathedrals which are stunning and worth the fee - check times for tours. We did not go to the Botanical Garden nor Zoo which would require a car.
Denis is very helpful it giving walking directions to see sites, too.
I hope this helps - my husband and I love to tour by walking and loved our visit to Montreal!
