My partner and I live in Montreal and have taken a "vacation" here a few times for our anniversary. My favourite thing about it is how friendly and welcoming Denis and his staff are. They provide a delicious breakfast every morning and and much or as little conversation as guests want. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and a perfect...

I'm a solo traveller so I asked for the Dormer Room which is (I think) their smallest room on the premises. The house is very authentic and well decorated. Feels very much like a home. The host is very friendly and sociable. I liked the Dormer Room as it features a claw footed bathtub. I loved it so much, I...

The Victorian house is charming. Decorated exquisitely to capture the charm of days gone by but with the modern conveniences of today. The staircase to the bedrooms upstairs is incredible. We were made to feel so welcome throughout our stay. The formal parlor was the perfect spot to meet before we headed out into the ciity. We usually had our...

Very pleasant stay in historic inn. Nice breakfasts, beautiful antique furniture and good location, convenient to metro. Note that this place is not handicap friendly as it has several stairs to front door and, I think, all rooms are on upper floors accessible only by stairs.

We had a great time staying here. Michel and Denis are wonderful hosts and obviously love their jobs. Denis is very proud of the story of his home and its first owners and it was fascinating to hear the history. The food was great and the rooms were charming and delightful. We stayed in the Judges Room and our son...

We generally opt for B&B's when we are travelling and after a somewhat exhaustive search, Heritage Victorien popped up as a possibility and following a bit of back and forth, we booked the Garden Suite. It was a suite in fact, with a large bedroom, sitting area and bath and direct access to the garden area at the back of...

This is an impeccably restored Victorian Home. Your comfort is a priority. There are complimentary slippers, plenty of thick towels, iron & ironing board, mini frig in regular rooms, boxes of tissues, a full size bar of quality soap, hair dryer, bottles of water and wonderful breakfasts. The history of the inn is compelling. You can read diaries from the...

This was a great find in the Latin quarter of Montreal. It was easy to walk to most sites and the rooms were glorious. Two bedrooms, kitchen, washer dryer and gorgeous tub. You have to pay extra for parking but its worth it. Great breakfast

We recently stayed three nights at the Victorian Heritage Bed & Breakfast. If you want to stay in a home filled with Victorian era architecture, furniture and decor, then this is the place for you. The home is meticulously maintained and has been upgraded with modern bathrooms. My only recommendation for the room would be add some shelving in the...

The Heritage Suite was amazing in every respect. The beds were very comfortable, having a full bath and a half bath was a plus, the sitting areas and kitchen made our stay even better. Breakfast was not to be missed, a delicious way to start the day. Denis and everyone else made us feel at home and were there to...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
