This hotel is perfect for a short or extended break. The staff were so welcoming and parked our car for us on arrival. Loads of nice resturants around and a short walk into town., The rooms are very well decorated and quirky with some nice added touches such as the coffee machine. I would highly recommend this place. Only drawback...

We mainly chose this hotel because of location, in the Plateau, as there aren't too many hotels in that area. The location is great, right on St-Denis which has lots to offer, and not too far from the eateries and bars on Prince-Arthur and St-Laurent. And it is within walking distance of a metro. We had a Junior Suite, and...

This little special hotel has unexpected amenities: kitchenettes, rainforest showers, in and out parking for the very reasonable price of $15 daily. There is no elevator, so just be aware if you do need one. It's right on St. Denis near the Sherbrooke Metro stop and easily accessible to a wide variety of sights and restaurants. The staff are incredibly...

A gem of a 4 star hotel close to downtown with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Lovely large room with seating area and kitchen. Reasonable rate with the only negative being that there is no elevator, but there are only 3 floors Snrs from Carrying Place, Ontario

We stay here every year for the F1 race. The rooms are great, the hotel is centrally located, and the staff is wonderful. We highly reccommend the Kutuma.

This hotel is a little different. It really has no lobby. It’s like you go into the Blue Nile restaurant (associated with the hotel) and a set of stairs to the right leads up to a few floors of rooms. You get a key to lock and unlock the door when the restaurant isn’t open, because there isn’t front desk...

Great bohemian style hotel very well located. The entrance is a tad unorthodox but the junior suite we had was very fine indeed! King size bed that was very comfortable and the unit had a little kitchen area .... Stove did not work but there was an espresso machine and a coffee maker to heat up water for tea. The...

Hotel Kutuma is one of those places that you go into not expecting too much and get your socks blown off. Wow. Attention to detail is EVERYTHING and they get it right. The hotel is quite and very peaceful, it's built around an African theme and done so in a very tasty fashion and style. The rooms are a good...

Nice boutique hotel with the necessary amenities that are needed. This quaint hotel only has about 12-15 rooms. The check in process was smooth and seamless. Hotel staff were very friendly, accommodating and took our bags to the room. I wouldn't recommend this property if you have difficulty climbing stairs as there is no elevator. The metro is easy to...

This is a small boutique hotel. Very unique and fun - not at all like a corporate hotel chain. The valet was quick and easy. You must be able to travel upstairs there are no elevators. The rooms were clean and cute, great little kitchenette with a yummy espresso machine. The tub was huge, it was wonderful to take a...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
