The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff contribute to its charm, although some guests point out the need for updates and better maintenance.

Detailed Reviews
I was amazed at this suites hotel with complete kitchen, spacious bedroom and living room, 2 TVs and a location close to 2 Metro stations. The staff was friendly, bilingual and helpful, the business office allowed me to print and copy, and even though there is no restaurant, the small pantry/store offered a few things that are quick to prepare. After a grocery run, I had everything I needed to prepare dinner, a brown bag lunch and except for a wine glass, I was as happy as an out of towner could be. When I reported a broken bath plug, they sent someone immediately and I had the bath I had been looking forward to. I must confess I left a rather crappy hotel for this one and upon moving here, I was very comfortable.

Travelled to Montreal for the Grand Prix, stayed at this hotel as a good location for the Metro to the circuit and a reasonable price
Slight hiccup on arrival when we were told our reservation had been cancelled (booked through an agent with a voucher to prove this was not the case) however this was quickly sorted and the booking reinstated but the total cost of the stay was “held” on my credit card until payment was received from my booking agent.
The lifts are set up so that you need a room key to access the guest floors - not a bad thing, but many people seemed to struggle to use this
Parking $27 daily - we did not have a car, and no idea if this is a good deal or not but street parking seemed limited
We had a studio, which was large with a fully equipped kitchen. Just enough utensils for those staying in the room (so 2 of everything) The room itself was dated, the bathroom extremely so, and there were holes in the curtains which sadly gave a rundown impression. Air-con unit noisy. WiFi good.
If you wanted housekeeping then you had to request it, if you wanted clean towels or toilet rolls etc you had to ask reception (not a big issue but was not explained at check in)
Safe deposit boxes are behind reception if you want them, and available free of charge.
Reception staff were helpful and gave local info when asked, stored luggage for us and booked us a taxi to the airport
Would return if came back for the Grand Prix & got the rooms at a good price

We absolutely loved this boutique hotel as soon as we arrived, a gentleman kindly took our cases from taxi into reception. Receptionist warm and friendly welcome and gave us a choice of room by showing us on the computer screen. The room was superb, lounge area, separate bedroom, kitchenette and lovely big bathroom, shame over the bath shower as I think dangerous stepping in and out but that is my personal preference. The room was absolutely spotless and although the room was above a busy street we couldn’t hear a thing. Breakfast in the morning was very nice, however the lady who greeted us could of been friendlier and welcoming, she seemed grumpy! The second day though gentlemen couldn’t of been more welcoming and helpful.
The location of the hotel was ideal and we could actually walk to our cruise terminal with cases very easily. One of the best hotels I have stayed in and would definitely recommend, staff in reception all great, thank you all x

Stayed here two two nights when visiting Montreal for Igloofest (Music Festival). Booked the two bedroom / one bath suite and the room was absolutely massive.
Reception staff were friendly throughout our stay, and my IHG loyalty was noted at check-in. The hotel is in a great location with most things in the downtown / Old Port being completely walkable. There is a grocery store located a few minute walk away.
While the hotel is slightly dated and could use some updates, the rooms are massive and having a kitchen is a nice bonus. I would not hesitate staying here again!

Location was perfect for me. Walking distance from 3Metro stations and the Train station. Big plus is the airport bus stops directly in front of the building. Also near Chinatown and Old Montreal.
This hotel is pretty basic, I booked a room with a kitchen equipped with necessary tools which allowed for simple food preparation. This meant that food odour could permeate to other rooms. Free coffee from the common area next to reception was a great perk.
Do it yourself garbage disposal was convenient with each floor having a garbage chute.
Free room cleaning is done once a week though can request for linen replacement anytime. Again, DIY.
Overall, it was great value. Simple and practical.

For a family of four stopping through Montreal before heading home to Toronto, we found the room + guest room very big with plenty of space to spend a rainy night. The room's sofa is also a pullout bed which my teenage son claimed. Setting up the bed was no problem at all.
The main lighting in the room was dim. It wasn't a big deal for my son. The bedrooms were just right and so were the comfortability of the beds and pillows.
The only issue we had was the toilet not flushing. A quick call to the front desk and the maintenance man came within 30 minutes. The man was friendly and asked what the problem was and came back in 5 minutes with the appropriate tool. About 15 minutes later, the toilet was able to flush. The maintenance man kindly left with a smile.
Nearby is Chinatown, so 5 minutes walk to pick up some food was perfect. Plates and utensils provided back at the room were a lifesaver since it was already 8 pm.
Overall, it was a nice place to stop. The front desk was very friendly and the check in and out were smooth and quick. I didn't give full score only because there was a pesky fly that I had to get rid of.
Other than that, I would still consider to return because of the location and friendliness.

From check in to check out I had a great experience. I arrived two plus hours early and was able to get into my room. I was on the top (14th) floor but never had a long wait for the elevator. The room was spacious and well appointed. Bedroom and bathroom were good size, clean and comfortable. All appliances were in perfect working order and I had everything I needed to cook for myself. The location is situated just outside of downtown, but close enough that it’s only a short metro or bus ride if you don’t want to walk. It’s also very close to Chinatown, Old Montreal, and Mont Royal. The only thing I found odd was that the air conditioning unit is in the bedroom only and not the living area, and the air blows directly on you when you’re in the bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook like you are at home. It was very helpful to be able to use the washing machine and dryer for free. Room cleaning is once a week, but you can get new towels and coffee at the front desk.

+1
This is not the first time I stay in this hotel, but the first time since it changed its name. Almost nothing has changed, the same rooms where there is everything you need. The proximity of the supermarket "IGA" allows you to provide yourself with breakfast, which is not available in the hotel. There is a children's room and a business center (which helped me again). You can also wash for free (only your own powder is needed) - there are washing machines and dryers. The main thing that remains is an attentive attitude to the guests and their requests.
The only thing that got in the way was a construction site nearby.

We chose this hotel for its location near Montreal old city and Chinatown plus the room suites - and were generally pleased with what we found. The hotel was very well equipped with garage parking, gym area, business area, sundries shop, small appliance rentals, and guest laundry. The main elevator from the garage was broken during the three days we were there but we were able to make do using the one for the cohabiting hotel. Although it is not well marked in the garage hotel guests should park on level P2. We found the room to be in good repair and included all kitchen utensils we required to cook our meals. The smoke detector was very sensitive and required that we run the range exhaust fan when cooking. The suite with a living room was spacious and ventilation was good even though A/C was restricted to the living room. The staff were pleasant and helpful and were bi-lingual. The nearest Metro is about 3 blocks and the closest entrance to Underground Montreal is about 4 blocks. Direct access walking to the old city is available on Avenue de l’Hotel-de-Ville in about 4 blocks. We would definitely stay here again if in the area and I recommend it as a place that is virtually a furnished apartment.

It is a drip. We think the coffee comes in a little “pillow” and since we used our own coffee we had to makeshift the filter.
We stayed here with our two dogs. The staff were extremely friendly about it. They provided us with a magnet to put on the door to let the cleaners know there were animals in the room. They also gave our boys treats whenever they came through the lobby. The hotel charges C$60 per pet per stay for cleaning. That's a bit steep IMO, but at least they could stay...
yes, there is parking underground
No. Like others have said the kitchen is fully equipped and if you need any other utensils they probably have it by the front desk. They also have a "store" there where you can buy some things to make or bring to your room. This is not a "luxury hotel" where you get waited on, but the staff are very helpful to give you what you need. It's a great set up as a home away from home.
Hi. I'm not sure about the bedroom suites either. We had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. There was still lots of space in the room with the 2 beds. There was also a desk and 2 stools at the counter between the kitchen and living space.
