First the location: it's very convenient but the area is full of homeless and "dangerous" people. We went for a walk on Sunday morning and they were the only persons around the hotel. I know it's not the hotel fault, but keep it mind.

We stayed here during the Canada day long weekend. What we loved the most about this hotel is it's strategic location. Your basically minutes away from everything. Chinatown, Old Montreal, Old Port, St. Catherine for shopping, McGill University all are but few minutes walk.

Quartier des Spectacles / Ville-Marie
Also Known As
Candlewood Suites Montreal Centre-Ville Hotel Montreal ,
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and
exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.

No. Like others have said the kitchen is fully equipped and if you need any other utensils they probably have it by the front desk. They also have a "store" there where you can buy some things to make or bring to your room. This is not a "luxury hotel" where you get waited on, but the staff are very helpful to give you what you need. It's a great set up as a home away from home.
