Auberge de la Paix is a really sweet hostel. It's got a great location - very close to a lot of the things many want to see in Quebec, but on a quiet street. The rooms seemed pretty spacious (although it would probably be easiest to use some of the bathroom stalls if you were a contortionist), and you can...

Located perfectly, the Auberge is within minutes of Quebec`s wonderfull attractions and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful when questioned, the kitchen is narrow but everything is laid out well so you won`t find too many problems. The rooms are quite small but the beds are pretty comfortable. The best part of the hostel is the chilled out vibe...

Very very nice hostel with a fantastic staff. They were all very kind to us and they offered to keep our luggage while visiting the city the day of our departure and they also said that we could use the kitchen for the whole day. They also offer a rich breakfast. The only negative side is that I found the...

Pros: Close to the train station and one of the most beautiful districts in the city. Clean and warm. Good wifi! Inexpensive! Cons: Beds are uncomfortable, showers are tiny and awkward to use, and some of the staff are extremely weird and unfriendly. The free breakfast consists of toast with PB of jam, and two kinds of cereal (although I...

An excellent location in the midst of the Old Town, with an epicerie and a small cafe just next door. Friendly staff, and atmosphere. Ideal for the casual traveller who doesn't require frills. The free breakfast - toast with toppings (jam, marmelade, peanut butter), a choice of cereals, and coffee a great asset for those who want to get out...

I stayed here for 4 nights and generally it was a pleasant experience. It's true that the best thing about this hostel is it's location. Easy walking distance to all the main sights and the train station. I had three encounters with the staff, the first was when I checked in and the woman was lovely, very helpful and I...

I stayed at hostel for three nights. I had 4 bunks dorm on first floor. It was very clean when I come in. They have one table , two chairs, storage locks and a sink. I didn't have problem there. The staff were friendly. Also tenants were friendly like family. I like hostel's size and old building close to downtown....

“There is no 'private bathroom'. If you're in a private chamber, you share a bathroom with the four other private chambers on that floor. It didn't bother me though, I never had to wait for it and it was always clean. But spending a bit more on a private chamber is the way to go!”
