We don't usually stay in budget hotels but since the place with the pink and peeling roof (quite different from the pictures) was unavailable we stayed here. This motel room was very clean but that's about it. Hallway smelled, paper thin walls, old TV from the 80's, very hot (no air conditioning) and just an uncomfortable mattress and box spring...

Came to the area for whale watching. Very friendly and helpful manager. Very close to main highway and if you are a light sleeper the traffic noise will wake you. Room and bathroom were very clean, very close to ferry and bus pickup for whale watching boat tour. If you want to cook in room make sure you ask for...

I came for the whales-just wanted a decent place to stay-this was ok with me-clean, quiet enough, and close to center of the (tiny) town-check out the boulangerie (bakery) across the street-fantastic!

Booked online, and what you see is exactly what you get. Our room was a good size, had kitchenette and fridge and coffee maker. Standard double bed was a bit small, but apart from that all was good. Guillame, the manager speaks quite good English, and could not do enough for us...v helpful. His sister, who looks after reception, not...

This motel is small but clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are relatively quiet in spite of occasional trucks driving up or down the main road in the back of the motel. L'Anse à l'Eau is very basic with a minimum of space, amenities, or comfort, but probably fine for a brief stay, if nothing better...

We stayed three nights in July 2014. Rooms are super clean, beds are very comfortable. Staff was very helpful with booking boat tours. And although it backs up to the busy highway there is no noise what so ever. Close to everything and reasonably priced. I would recommend this motel for anyone.

Based on reviews, I expected a basic but comfortable room. Instead we got a barebones, tiny room with no space for suitcases. It is right on a busy corner with cars driving by just a few feet away, motor cycles screaming by and people congregating and screaming. And since there is no air conditioning you have to open the sliding...

Nothing fancy, but the room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were able to leave our car and walk to everything in the village. Staff was friendly and quite tolerant of our broken French. We would stay here again. Great value.

Small but comfortable room. No fridge. Fancy coffee maker but then no good milk. Staff friendly and helpful. Offered to order the shuttle to go to the wharf for whale watching. Every store and hotel in down does reservations for whale watching and cruises. Nice little town to spend some time in.
