It was a very comfortable stay and having it as a homebase for visiting friends in Regina for Canada Day worked out well for us. Having the pub downstairs was very convenient. I would recommend eating in the pub instead of doing takeout like we did on the first night we were there because it’s just not meant to be taken out and everything was soggy and gross by the time we got to it. When we met friends there for food and drinks it turned out OK.
I believe we booked the highest room category which was a suite with a two queen bed bedroom and a separate living area all together. That was a really good decision for us travelling as a family. The pool was looking a little bit worn down but otherwise it was still a good experience.
The only damper during our stay is that they advertise themselves as a pet friendly hotel. Two nights in a row we had friends who brought their dog to come visit. The front desk immediately called our room to ask if we had pets in the room which was hilarious because our friends’ pet is this huge, mini horse-sized dog that you can’t miss and we definitely did not check in with a dog this big. The entire time we kept getting the stink eye while hanging out in the lobby waiting to leave. They were really policing it and I didn’t have the heart to tell them that both my kids are allergic to animals and had to be pumped full of allergy medication just for the hour or so that our friends came to visit. I really felt that the Front desk staff was policing so they could appropriately charge the guest a pet fee or a cleaning fee. We obviously were appropriately not charged because it was not our pet but it didn’t make for a good visiting experience for our friends. Overall I also felt like the staff could’ve gone above and beyond for small things and they didn’t take the opportunity when it was there. Anyhow I suppose people stay there more for the amenities than the service so not a big deal. Overall it was an adequate stay.

Thankyou for taking the time to review the hotel. Sounds like you enjoyed your stay. Our main concern with animals in a guestroom is to ensure we do the appropriate cleaning when you check out. It is a safety concern for the next guest and to ensure them a pet was not in the room. We have designated rooms for animals and we have a different cleaning system we use. Our apologies as we did not intend to offend you, only be cautious for the next guests.

I stayed here for a week on business. The staff were very helpful, the room facilities (bed, shower, fridge) were good, and the room was well sound-proofed from the outside. The fitness centre and pool are very small, but I appreciated being able to use the running machines and fitness bike. The location was good for me - about 30 minutes walk from the university - and there were a lot of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was welcome. The only issue I had was the black-out curtains which do not connect well and let in light both in the middle and at the bottom. I was given the option of changing rooms - which I appreciated - but all the rooms I saw had the same style. This is not a big issue, but may be a nuisance for people sensitive to light.

My interactions started by Phone, as I had a free night through a booking site but wanted to make sure I could bring my dog. They were quick to answer and very courteous on the phone, quickly told me yes that's no problem. I was traveling with my 50lbs dog and the weather caused a delay and we needed a place to rest. I'd just need to pay the pet fee to them upon arrival.
The hotel seems really new. It has a lot of really nice features... like the shower controls are not right under the faucet - they are near the shower entry, I liked that. The bathroom had two lights, a bright light And a sexy back lit mirror light. The king size bed was super comfy, and the TV welcomed me by name (that was cool :)!). The elevators were quick, and surprisingly large. The building was really planned well!
The staff were awesome at check in, I was offered help several times, and they gave me a welcome bag for my dog - treats and poop bags and a reminder not to leave him in the room on his own he was allowed in the lobby but not eating areas.
The restaurant on site was great help as i placed a take out order from the lobby! The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choices, hot, fresh fruit, anything you could think of. And the breakfast attendant somehow took care of everyone all at once, it was busy and she did amazing! All staff were incredible, i hope I get to stay here again !
I really recommend this place !

Room and bedding were inspected using a black light. I gave it 10/10 for cleanliness which I have only done twice before in over 40 years of travel. Sheets were not new but were impeccably clean and showed no signs of staining. Points were deducted because every door I heard, on my floor, needed it’s hinges oiled. It sounded like a haunted house. Additionally, the TV did not work. Both complaints were made to the Assistant Manager. He reset the TV and it worked for about 3 channels. We didn’t notice until after our show ended and, unfortunately, after we had told him that it was fine. We were too tired after this discovery and so we re-reported the two issues to the front desk in the morning. A different person, at the front desk, offered to resolve the problems while we were out for the day. When we returned, later that evening, the channels were now all available but, the pictures kept freezing, pixalating, or were blurry. It kept flashing, “LAN disconnected” and “Check to see if the plug is out”. We did not get much sleep the second, and last, night of our stay on account of the haunted house effects created by the doors up the hall from us. For such an awesomely clean room we are pleased, for apparently not caring enough about our sleep to promptly oil some hinges sometime during our stay, and for not resolving the TV issues, we were most disappointed. No concessions were offered by the staff for our inconvenience. We did not request any as we wanted to see how they responded without prompting them.

Decent hotel. Staff were helpful and room was clean. Pool was a little small but still nice, however, the liner is starting to warp with creases, showing the need for replacement. AC is a little noisy but not too bad. Good enough insulation so even room on second floor facing Albert Street had very little road noise. The only negative is the breakfast. Both quantity and quality were very poor. Stayed for two days and breakfast changed little. Coffee (caffeinated and decaffeinated) had grinds in it (talked to staff and they said it is normal). Overall selection was very limited and not worth it. Will definitely look for another hotel to stay next time.

Had a good 2 night stay. Location is central and convenient to everything with plenty of free parking onsite. Walking distance to a number of eateries.
The room was ok - pretty standard in all aspects. Wish the lighting was better.
The daily complimentary breakfast is served in their onsite restaurant until 9:30 am. It's a decent selection of hot and cold items like omelettes, bacon/sausage, waffles/oatmeal with fixings, yogurt, fresh fruit, breads/cereal, and juices/coffee/tea. Other Marriotts may offer more items, but this was fine, though we wished they had 24 hr coffee/tea in the lobby. Didn't try the restaurant during our stay, but it looked popular in the evenings.
Staff were friendly.

Oct 21 was first stay here since Covid-19, same good experience as before. Had eturn booking Nov 21 for very late arrival after long vacation and found we had been up-graded. Complementary breakfast had sausage patties, eggs, cereals and variety of breads. This is our preferred hotel in Regina. We used taxi vouchers but rate from hotel to airport is a little under 20.00 each way.

The hotel is very nice. Room was clean. My big issue with this hotel was they told me there was no pet charge yet when I showed up at 8pm they said there was a pet charge of 35$. When I explained their main reservation line quoted no pet charge they refused to honour that. Due to a game in town the next day all other hotels I tried were full or did not have any pet rooms available so at this point after 12 hrs on the road I took the room. This morning I spoke with the manager, figuring he would make it right and again they would not honour the quote. They offered to take off 15$ but I still feel it’s unfair that they miss lead customers. Unhappy with the customer service of this hotel!!

As stated clearly upon your arrival as a walk in reservation at the hotel we did tell you we have a pet before you decided to stay. In order to maintain the cleanliness standard that you mentioned we spend additional time cleaning the rooms. Our apologies for the verbal miscommunication you received.

Stayed one night on my way back from a motorcycle trip to Alaska. I locked this place because it was conveniently located near the highway and it was only 15,000 points.
I appreciated the cold bottles of water upon checking in after 10 hours of riding. Not sure if they do that only for Platinum Rewards members or everyone. Either way, nice touch.
It was unusual that this Fairfield Inn had a full-service restaurant complete with outdoor patio area and an extensive beer collection. I didn’t take advantage of it. Instead I made the mistake of going down the street and eating at a place called The Keg Steakhouse, which was a disappointment.
This is also a newer style Fairfield Inn. I like how the showerhead is mounted high. The room is spotless, the beds are comfortable. I ended up using the guest laundry and even that room was clean.
If I were passing through the area again I would be a repeat customer

I booked this hotel through the marriott bonvoy app as I do for most hotel stays if the brand has a property available in the area. Upon arrival was advised that my reservation wouldn't be honoured as I was unwilling to tender a credit card for a security deposit. Quite happy to leave a substantial cash/debit deposit and pay for the room in advance as is the policy of ALL Marriott properties, but that wasn't good enough and my partner and I were turned away and refused service. Now stranded in Regina with no place to stay, I called the Marriott booking hotline and spoke to an agent who was blown away by this. They immediately arranged for my partner and I to stay at another Marriott property in Regina where they did honour the company security policy. Disgusted. This isn't hospitality, and after reading a number of reviews where credit cards are charged for incidentals days after the fact, I see now this place is just a rip off shake down scam. Avoid at all costs, go to the Fourpoints instead. Chris Ann at the front desk there is professional and will look after you.. Fairfield Inn Regina. Avoid at all costs if you are LGBTQ2S.

We are sorry that you experienced a problem at check in. We do require a valid credit card from all our guests. We have that information stated when you receive a room confirmation and my apologies if you missed seeing that. Some hotels may not require that upon checkin, however that is our ongoing policy. It was unfortunate you had to find another hotel and felt stranded. I am sure that was difficult and I understand why you were frustrated. Our intent to have a valid credit card on file was not meant to be discriminatory. Many businesses choose to request one and again, it is unfortunate if you have experienced additional incidental charges from other hotels. We do not experience that at our property. I am happy to hear you were able stay at a Marriott in Regina that accepted your debit card and they took good care of you.
