We kind of took over the B & B (4 couples) for a few days in July and it was wonderful. The house is beautiful, Pamela is a great host and the rooms were great. It was a bit cool and rainy and the fireplace room was an inviting place to relax. A great experience overall. Thanks Pamela!

The atmosphere is very relaxed and homelike. I really appreciated being able to do laundry and cook some meals. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms are shared. The owner has two dogs which were not a problem. The garden is amazing. The home is non smoking.

Thanks Alison for the great review! I am glad you you enjoyed the kitchen and laundry facilities. It is sometimes difficult to find B&B's or hotels, that allow the use of their kitchens or laundry facilities. I also have a room that has a private bathroom, and I private entrance; perhaps next you, if you return, you could stay in...

We really appreciated our stay at Vangorda for overnights up to and back from Alaska. We understood there were dogs and there was no issue. The dogs did not bark alot and seemed pretty sedate compared to our dog and dogs we have cared for. We appreciated the upstairs room and use of the garage so we did not have...

I stayed here for a week and found the location and price suited my needs perfectly. I had a small room on the main floor with a queen sized bed, and a 2-piece bathroom across the hall. The shower was located on the second floor, and it was also the bathroom for the other 2 guest rooms. Mildly inconvenient to...

We were a party of four with my wife, her mom, and our adult son. When we arrived we were almost ignored by the hostess, who seemed to be doing work from her job in the kitchen, adjacent to the living room she let us use. Had to ask her where the towels were, where we could use the laundry,...

I was pleased with my stay. I had two separate stays with a seven day hike in between. The room was nice, but I'm glad a brought a sleeping mask. Nineteen hours of daylight can make sleeping hard without blackout curtains. Breakfast was fine. Self-service food, which was fine by me. Cereal, bread, yogurt, milk, coffee. I could eat when...

we arrived earlier than anticipated but the host was home anyway so we didn't have any problems. our room was small and we had a bit of a hard time fitting our giant gear bags inside, so we left most of our luggage in the car. even though it was small, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable....

Very well maintained home. Hostess is friendly, very organized and clean. Breakfast includes yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, bagels, along with the coffee, etc. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the backyard reminds me of an English garden, with several cozy areas to sit and enjoy. Reliable internet. Room for one car for each room- located in a large cul-de-sac, so...

I currently have over 30 reviews on tripadvisor. Only 3 of them have been negative. This is the third one, unfortunately. First the positives .. Laundry is available and free (bring your own soap). Wifi is decent, and the "community space" furnishings are nicely appointed. This place offers reasonable value for the dollar. It's been my experience that B&Bs are...

The place was recommended to me and outperformed my expectations. The host is very welcoming, nice and always helpful. The house is huge and all rooms are equally nice equipped with everything you'll need. The wooden fireplace is amazing, especially during the cold winter months. I had a comfortable space to do my work in peace. In case you are...
