What a lovely place. The hosts were very welcoming and the room nicely appointed and the breakfast good. Their recommendation for an evening meal (we stayed on a Sunday when they don't do evening food) was superb. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights in late July and found this accommodation to be a in a nice quiet location; lovely setting and close driving distance to Tours and chateaux. Our host, Christian provided friendly service and we enjoyed the breakfasts (excellent home made jams) and quality evening meals - always a crowd around the dining table with an opportunity to... We stopped off for one night on the way home from the South West of France. We were slightly delayed in traffic and they hung on for us and the other guests were having an aperitif out in the garden when we arrived. We dumped our stuff in our beautiful room overlooking both the front and back gardens and joined... More

We stayed two nights as a guest of Christian and would stay again. Manoir de Chaix is hidden away but close enough to the Loire attractions to be convenient. We were with our kids and the suite was perfect - two good sized bedrooms with a shared bathroom [close enough to the wifi to make it usable ;)]. We were... More

We stayed three nights at Manoir de Chaix and would have loved to stay longer. Lovely garden with swimming pool. This historic building has been beautifully restored. The room was large and comfortable with a good size bathroom. A very quiet and lovely setting providing a great location to tour the many Chateaux. Christian is a fantastic host. He arranged... We stayed 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday) and would definitely stay here again. The Saturday dinner with the other guests was very enjoyable and relaxing. Christian did an excellent job on the dinner and breakfast each morning was not to be missed. Not too many places where you feel like you are part of the family.

I only stayed one night in the manor, but I really enjoyed the experience. The property is gorgeous, the pictures on their website don't really do the place justice. The garden surrounding the manor seem pretty large, but unfortunately I didn't have time and suitable weather to enjoy it. At dinner time all the guest were invited to meet around... More

Great to find a Manoir/chateau offering the best of France without ceilings and walls decorated in the same time warp wallpaper, limp, cold croissants and unexpected doggy presents under the dining table! Instead we received a warm welcome, a beautiful log fire, large bedroom and excellent food at a reasonable price. 18 different home made jams for breakfast indicates nothing... More

We first stayed at this chambre/table d'hote 20 years ago. What a wonderful opportunity to relive one of our best memories in France. No official table d'hote was available as we were out of season, but Francis and his mom went out of their way to prepare us wonderful dinners that we ate by ourselves next to the fireplace. We... Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) stayed 1 night. We arrived later than expected but our host, Christian, was wonderful. There was soft music playing and the fire going which made the home warm and inviting. Christian showed us to our self contained area upstairs ("La Suite") made up of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilet.... More
